A female that looked to be in her early twenties entered the room, carrying a large cardboard box, soon placing it next to a group of other boxes. She panted, the weight of the contents inside the boxes taking a toll on her before hearing a knock from outside. Her expression remained neutral as she stared at the door for a few seconds before walking over to open it.
Burly workers stood carrying furniture, seeming unfazed even though it must have weighed a lot for two people to carry. Two men carried a wooden coffee table inside, followed by two more men carrying a couch. They all placed the furniture down, glancing at the woman standing there, who gave them a grateful smile.
"Thanks for your help!" one of the men exiting acknowledged her thanks and gave a curt nod. Soon the purple-streak haired female was left in her newly purchased apartment alone.Jieun- the resident of this apartment, if it was not already obvious- began to unpack the boxes, taking everything inside out and starting to add a bit of life by decorating the almost empty living space. Jieun had recently rented the apartment after deciding that she should move out and get her own place. She wished that she was living with another friend but none were in a position to move houses or apartments, so she was left to rent one by herself.
She was very satisfied with the place she found though, the flat not exorbitantly expensive to pay for rent and the landlady seemed like a kind older woman, so that was a plus.
Jieun didn't have a complaint at the moment but was warned by the landlady that there was a particular neighbour who loved to play their music loudly during random times of the day. But she expected herself to be able to handle that without a problem. Or she hoped.
After a while of decorating the living room, kitchen and even bathrooms, Jieun moved to her bedroom, which already had her bed, drawers and desk, accompanied by a full-length mirror and shelves. But even with furniture, it still missed something.
Jieun knew exactly what it was missing.
It was the photos and posters she had stuck onto her wall back at her parent's house. Jieun loved to put anything on her wall, anything at all, old photos of her in high school with friends, fairy lights, paintings she did- anything. She felt it made the space a bit cozier and nicer. And she would think that a lot of people would agree with her.
Jieun made a living from being an artist, often collaborating with other bigger artists, combining the creativity to make something, better, brighter. Her mind was often coming up with different ideas, concepts and she would use these ideas to her advantage, coming up with more art. She was always improving her style, usually trying something new and different from before.
Despite her might seeming like a bright, cheery person, seemingly trustful and easy to manipulate, Jieun wasn't always so welcome to introducing new people into her life out of the blue and acted a bit stand-offish sometimes. This might cause problems for some people but in reality, it really didn't. Even if Jieun might be a cold person towards you at first, that wouldn't be the case for long. She was a kind person underneath her attitude. Just as long as she trusted you enough.

After hours of hard work, moving furniture around to better suit her living style and adding more detail to her house, hanging random ornaments in the different rooms, Jieun was finally finished with decorating.
And she was proud.
It truly felt like a proper home now.
But she felt exhausted after doing nothing but furnishing rooms for the entire morning, deserving a well-earned rest.
The fatigued female made her way into her bedroom, falling ungracefully onto her bed, face-first. Luckily, she didn't absolutely ruin herself, her duvets cushioning the impact of the fall.Jieun rolled over, her eyes meeting the top of the room. She let out a content sigh and continued to gaze at the white-painted ceiling. Her eyes began to close, filtering out the light and soon, she was encased in darkness.
Her consciousness slipped and she fell into a serene slumber.
