Soonyoung entered Jieun's apartment, trailing after her. He scanned the room, and his eyes were drawn towards small canvases. He stared at the dinner table that had various sketches laid out. They were quickly taken away by Jieun to make space.

"You're an artist?" Soonyoung questioned. He received a small nod from Jieun.

"Yeah. I'm just a small artist. Don't really have much of a following. But that's okay, I enjoy my work."

"Cool. You're a good one." Soonyoung smiled at the shorter, and she returned a hesitant one.

"Yeah, sure. Thanks."

Jieun ambled over towards the kitchen with her shopping bag in hand. She placed it down on the counter before turning around and looking at Soonyoung.

"Do you want anything to drink?"

"Uh sure, water will be fine." Soonyoung bit his lip anxiously at the atmosphere while watching Jieun pouring the water into his glass. She handed it to him and he thanked her quietly. He took a seat on one of the stools that littered across the counter that Jieun had put her shopping bag on.

He glanced up after taking a drink from his glass to see what Jieun was doing. She had taken out all the ingredients in her bag and strewn them across the surface neatly. He fiddled his fingers, slightly bored as he watched Jieun beginning to make the stew.

Jieun was grateful for the warmth that drifted through the air, now that the liquid had started to steam. She was unaware of the gaze Soonyoung held.

She turned around to take her phone that she had rested on the counter-top but instead had found herself looking into Soonyoung's eyes.

"Oh." she breathed out, once again trapped in the beauty of the man that sat on the other side. It was hypnotising. Soonyoung was confused.

"Earth to Jieun. Your stew might be burning or something..." he waved aggressively at her. Jieun blinked once, twice before shaking her head furiously.

"Oh god, I'm sorry."

"It's okay, I guess?" Soonyoung forgave her, even though he had no idea what he was forgiving her for doing.

No sound was passed between the two until Jieun finished preparing the meal. She carefully passed the bowl full of kimchi jjigae towards Soonyoung and placed it gently on the counter so it would not spill. She sat on the stool beside Soonyoung's and took a bite of tofu, hissing as she detected a burning sensation on her tongue.

"Ouch- I burnt my tongue!" Soonyoung laughed as Jieun got up from her seat to fill a glass with water, chugging it. He scooped up the broth, blowing to cool it down before sipping it. He already liked it.

"So, do you like it? I bet you do. You have that face that tells me you do." Jieun smirked.

"No. It tastes terrible." Soonyoung said, his pride unable to let Jieun win. He faltered when Jieun said nothing, but had a look of hurt on her face. He felt bad for lying. "Hey, I was just joking. It tastes amazing, I swear." Jieun started laughing.

"I KNEW IT! You do like it. Jokes on you, you just exposed yourself. I couldn't care any less if your taste was bad or not. But seeing as you like my cooking, I suppose it isn't." Soonyoung scowled at the laughing girl.

"You-" he hesitated. "I don't like it. I was just being nice to you."

"Keep telling yourself that, sweetie,"

Soonyoung rolled his eyes, ignoring Jieun and kept eating. His ears were red though. He just knew.
