They laughed for a while until someone brought up the subject of parties. Which is what led up to this very moment.

"Ah right. Speaking of parties. Yunseo and I were actually planning a small house party with some close friends of mine. And by small, I mean tiny. So we were wondering if you would be willing to come join us..." Minghao offered. Jieun thought about it while Sooyun gladly agreed to go the first second it was asked. She eventually caved, knowing her schedule was not cramped at all.

"LET'S PARTYYYYY!!"

Everyone sitting at the table beamed at her.

Minghao pursed his lips together, before saying, "By the way Jieun, it's okay if you don't want to... but there's a friend of mine that's going to the party and Yunseo actually told me you two actually live quite close by each other. So if you don't want to take an Uber to our place then you could just call him up or something. I'm sure he wouldn't mind you asking. I trust him enough to take you in his car, don't worry, I wouldn't blindly ask you."

It didn't take long for Jieun to reply.

"Give me his number just in case. I'll be thinking about it."

I doubt I'll regret this. Besides, if Minghao, a person one of my best friends trusts dearly, trusts this guy, then surely I can trust the person on the other side of this phone number. She reasoned with herself.

Minghao nodded momentarily, quickly writing digits on a small piece of paper and handing it to Jieun. She took it, taking a glance for no reason- she didn't even read it and stored it in her phone case since she carried no bag. If I decide to, I'll just text the number I guess.

Jieun laid down on her stomach, nonchalantly scrolling through social media sites. She pouted, a habit that happened when she was deeply immersed in something.

She rested her chin on her hand, using her other to shift her thumb up and down as she liked the various posts on Instagram. She kept going at this until the boredom set in, and she couldn't stand just looking at photos of random people who were probably more immersed in themselves than the world outside.

Then, she remembered the phone number she got from Minghao.

When she arrived back at her apartment, Jieun said 'fuck it' and decided to go with this friend of Minghao's.

Taking out the slip of paper from her case, she cautiously typed in the numbers, making sure she was absolutely sure she trusted Minghao's friend choice. It'll be just fine, Jieun thought.

Jieun curiously pressed enter, and soon, her new text conversation was open.
