The ride to the restaurant was filled with nothing but the embarrassing sound of stomachs rumbling and Jieun and Soonyoung's voices mumbling 'sorry'. Once again, they both had nothing else to say to each other, despite their liking to one another and the instinctive drive to learn more about each other.

Once they made it to the restaurant, the two rushed over to everyone else, who had been waiting for a few minutes due to a traffic light splitting Jieun and Soonyoung away from the other cars. They both apologised for making them wait but were brushed off by Sooyun, who didn't care if they were late.

Jieun brushed the crimson curtain that acted as the door away, stepping inside her favourite restaurant in the district. The others followed suit, the ones new to the place looking around curiously at the decor. Jieun made her way to the counter, where a staff member was waiting patiently with a smile on her face.

"Welcome to Vernon's Burnt Chicken Patty Place!" she chirped.

"Table for..." Jieun hesistated, looking back at the group and counting everyone. "-eight, thanks."

The employee showed them to their table, which was just many small tables pushed into one big one. Sooyun and Minghao helped to connect the tables and move the chairs to the right position before everyone sat down. The singular worker brought them everything they needed, which were two large bottles of icy water, cups and multiple copies of the menu. Jieun skimmed through the dishes, before spotting one that she would like. She put down her menu and waited for everyone else to finish deciding. The waitress slash only employee came back just as the last person placed down their menu, ready to order.

"Have you decided what you want yet?" she asked. Everyone nodded, looking at Jieun to go first.

"Um, okay. I'll have this, and this, with less spice, thanks." she pointed at the menu. Hara, the worker, quickly wrote down the orders and left to the kitchen. This left everyone to talk among themselves, holding conversations on random subjects.

"Hey Jun," Minghao said, catching said person's attention. "You're Chinese, like me, right?"

"Yeah, why?" Jun replied with a questioning look on his face. Minghao shook his head.

"Nothing, I was just thinking about the food back there."

That put a smile on both of their faces as they felt the tiny prickle of homesickness and the nostalgic memory of their families and the dinners they had. Yunseo smiled at the moment of bonding for the two. It was nice to see her boyfriend increasing his friendship with someone other than the other guys.

Their moment was cut short, when Hara came back again with the food and side dishes. Soonyoung's face lit up at the extra kimchi he ordered, and the smell of his food. Everyone made sure to thank Hara for serving the food and began to dig in. 

*I am currently craving Korean food now that I've been writing about it.*

Hara smiled at their thanks and walked back to the counter, where a couple was standing.

Sooyun let out a huge sigh of satisfaction at the food, feeling happy because of the food. Everyone was full and content with what they ate, so it was now time to go to the arcade. But that was not before Jieun gave Sooyun her birthday present of paying for everything they all ate. Sooyun and Jieun argued over who would pay, since Sooyun didn't want her friend to pay. Joshua even tried insisting that he would pay, but was severely overpowered by the two girls, who gave him glares at the mention of him paying. In the end, they only ended the argument when Jieun rushed over to the counter before Sooyun could even think of going there, quickly shoving her card into Hara's hands, who looked shocked for a second.

Now Jieun was back in Soonyoung's car, who was busy talking about how he was so good at DDR. Jieun rolled her eyes at his boast and responded, saying that she could probably beat him easily.

"Is that a challenge?" Soonyoung smirked. Jieun smirked back.

"Oh, you better believe it is."

"Guess we'll just have to see if you're all talk and no walk when we get there," Soonyoung replied with a smug tone.
