OKAY BUT LIKE I'M SORRY FOR NOT UPDATING (I totally didn't forget)

_

"It's you!" Soonyoung kept his glare although he was panicking on the inside. Jieun stared back at him with a puzzled look.

"Oh- hey. It's you." Soonyoung stared at the kimchi that she held in her hand.

"Yeah. It's me. Listen- I saw that first so it's mine and I would be grateful if you gave it back to me." he said reaching towards the packet.

Jieun was shocked. Excuse me. HIS??? BITCH IT'S IN MY HANDS NOW.

"Um. No."

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes."

"Biiiiiitchhh. I got to it first so it's mine. Finders keepers." she stuck her tongue out at him. Soonyoung could feel the anger bubbling inside of him.

"Excuse me, I need this." he tried to snatch the poor kimchi packet out of her hands but failed. He stumbled closer to her and Jieun pushed him away.

"No you don't. I'm taking it, bye-" she turned around to leave. As she started walking, she felt a hand on her wrist. Jieun snapped back around. "Oh my god- just leave already! Why do you even need this in the first place." Soonyoung stared at her without answering the question. They stood, unblinking.

"Why can't I just have it?"

"You're acting like a real jerk right now."

"Well, I'm sorry but I just happen to love kimchi, so I would. Appreciate. If. You. Handed. It. Over. To. Me." the words were said through his gritted teeth.

"Well so do I. And I need this for a recipe I'm cooking tonight. So I would appreciate it if you left me alone now." Soonyoung felt his curiosity taking the place of his anger as he heard the words recipe and cooking.

"...What are you cooking?" he asked nonchalantly.

"Why are you interested in what I'm having for dinner all of a sudden?" Jieun asked smugly.

"Just... because..." there was a blank look from Jieun.

"Well, I'm making kimchi jjigae." Soonyoung felt the hunger kick in after hearing those two words.

"I bet it wouldn't taste very good. It would be a waste to use all that kimchi when someone else could use it and make something way better."

"I would be offended but I didn't ask for your opinion. But seeing how you so obviously want to try some, why don't you do so and come have dinner at my place?"

"Whatever. Fine."

"Fine."

There were a few glares from some people and it made sense, they were a bit loud and shouty when they were arguing. Soonyoung walked closer to Jieun as a habit when he felt self-conscious. They both walked to the check-out counter, purchasing their items and leaving the store.

The two walked in an uncomfortable silence, without sharing a single word. Jieun was cringing on the inside from the awkwardness, but she couldn't break the tension. So they continued walking like this until they reached the building complex.

So... does this count as a date? 🤡
