The next few days passed quickly as Jieun talked with Soonyoung more. They were good friends now, sending memes to each other and roasting one another for random things that happened in their text messages. And soon, the day of the house party arrived.

Jieun greeted Soonyoung before climbing into the passenger seat of his car. They both sat in a comfortable silence as Soonyoung drove, one hand on the steering wheel guiding the direction of the car. The girl's stare lingered out the window before she turned her head in the other direction, where Soonyoung sat.

She couldn't help but feel a small twinge of physical attraction to Soonyoung as she gazed at him. But it wasn't a crush or anything. She felt it was normal to find someone handsome or pretty.

The car came to a halt when they arrived at Yunseo and Minghao's apartment. They walked inside the building, taking the elevator up. Jieun turned to Soonyoung.

"So you're friends with Minghao? That means you've probably been inside their place right?" she asked. Soonyoung nodded in reply.

"I've been once or twice before. It's a nice place they live in."

They both stepped out when the elevator reached its destination. Jieun relied on Soonyoung to bring her to the right apartment, since she didn't know which one it was. He stopped in front of a door, presumably Yunseo and Minghao's.

"This is it." Soonyoung said while knocking. The short period of waiting ended quickly when the pair were greeted by Yunseo.

"Hi! Come in, we were waiting for you two."

Jieun's cheeks heated up as she became embarrassed from arriving late. Soonyoung took notice of this and smiled, thinking it was cute.

It seemed a bit fast for Soonyoung, but he had recently been suspecting himself of having a small developing crush on Jieun. It was weird. One day he was absolutely fine and saw Jieun as a funny friend and the next, he would be thinking of her, his heart thumping whenever he saw a notification from her. He wondered what caused his crush to begin.

"Oh! Everyone's here now! We can actually start the party now." Minghao said. Jieun noticed a boy standing next to Minghao who seemed younger than the latter.

"Oh, Jieun. Right, you haven't met Chan yet. This is Chan, one of my friends, and this is Jieun, Yunseo's best friend." he introduced us and we greeted, shaking hands.

"I don't know what we should do, so let's just sit down and chat for now, before we get too rowdy with games." Everyone agreed with Yunseo's idea and took a seat in the living room.

"Oh my god. You two!" Jieun pointed at Minghao and Yunseo. "I can't believe this. This man, sitting next to me," she turned her hand to point at Soonyoung. "HE'S MY NEIGHBOUR. MY LITERAL NEIGHBOUR. When you said that a friend of yours would drive me, I DID NOT EXPECT HIM-" Minghao started to laugh and so did Yunseo and Sooyun.

"What's wrong with me? Am I not good enough for you Jieun?" Soonyoung pouted, feigning sadness. Jieun rolled her eyes at his act.

"You know, the two of you have a strangely close friendship. It's very suspicious." Sooyun said, grinning suggestively at Yunseo. It didn't take long for her to catch onto what she was thinking. They both giggled to each other.

"I swear if you're thinking what I think you're thinking..." Jieun said through gritted teeth. Her two best friends laughed.

"I don't know. What do you think we're thinking?" Sooyun asked curiously. Jieun knew what they were thinking, but couldn't outright say it since Soonyoung was right there. It would be embarrassing if she said what it was right then and there. So instead, Jieun walked over to where Sooyun and Yunseo sat, whispering in their ears.

"That you think I have a crush on Soonyoung."

Yunseo and Sooyun both smirked at her.

"So do you?"

"Nope." she denied. Yunseo almost looked sad.

"My ship is sinking."

Sooyun nodded in agreement.

"Hey, why don't we order some pizza and eat a little before we begin the games?" Chan suggested.

It surprised everyone when he spoke, since he had only said a few things in the midst of their conversation. He had been staring at his phone screen, probably playing some game.

Jieun agreed to his idea and looked at everyone else to see their opinion. No one really minded getting pizza.

"Alright then. Pizza it is." Chan said, beginning the process of ordering, making sure to ask everyone what they wanted. Once everyone was happy with the choices Chan ordered, generously rejecting offers from Minghao and Yunseo to pay for the pizzas.

"You really didn't need to pay. We are the ones hosting this party so you shouldn't have to," Yunseo said but Chan shook his head.

"No really, it's fine."

Everyone went back to looking at their phones, not paying attention to anyone around them. The only person that wasn't was Soonyoung, who looked at everyone while frowning.

"Hey..." he started off, before realising no one heard or cared. His frown deepened.

"HEY! WHY DON'T WE DO SOME KARAOKE WHILE WE WAIT FOR TH-"

"Shut up." Jieun deadpanned, silencing the other.

"Why don't we? It'll be fun." Minghao said.

"I'm not bothered," Chan and Sooyun groaned. Sooyun glanced at Chan in surprise when they spoke the same thing at the same time.

"Honestly, that's a big fat mood."

So here's a longer chapter to feed you after the last two :)
