Ch. 21 A Day Off in Driftveil City

2 days later in Driftveil City, hotel room

Ash: Man was yesterday fun, even if this so called city didn't have much to do it was still fun hanging out with Dawn...... "So what's the plan for today?"

Dawn: "Well since tommorow your challenging the gym I thought it'd be a good idea for you to prepare for your gym battle and while you do that I'll practice some combinations for my contests and afterwards we could check up on some of our friends"

Ash: "Oh yeah you never said, how many ribbons do you still need to get into the grand festival?"

Dawn: "I already got four of them so I only need one more"

Ash: Damm she works fast....... "I guess we should probably have breakfast before

3rd pov: After grabbing what they wanted from the buffet line and grabbing their Pokemon some food Ash and Dawn went outside to a little clearing where they and there Pokemon could eat in peace.....

Dawn: "So Ash, have you-…... Hey are you even listening!"

Ash: "What? I'm hungry!"

Dawn: "Your always hungry!"

Ash: She's got me there....... "Yeah fair point, but hey before I forget to ask...... Where's buneary?"

Dawn: "Oh she's doing some more work with Paris....... Ash?"

Ash: Why is she looking at me like that...... "Yes Dawn?"

Dawn: "Why...... Well I guess what I'm asking is why did you come to me when you were-"

Ash: "Feeling down? Well I guess.... You have a way of making me feel..... Safe, confident, happy- oh I'm saying to much aren't I?"

Dawn: "No it's okay Ash, I..... Feel the same way about you too"

Ash: "I guess that's why we have such a strong bond...... Ya know it was really lonely traveling alone"

Dawn: "I can imagine-"

Ash: "But at the same time I moved through the region quicker than I ever have, I guess without other people with me there wasn't much reason to linger in the town's and cities..... but I wouldn't trade traveling with friends over anything." Especially with you Dawn..... but I was able to get through my journey quicker..... and with more success.......

Dawn: Yeah..... Friends...... "Hey ash- wait where did our food go?"

Ash: "Who- Braviary give us back our food!"

Braviary: "Brav!"

Ash: And he already consumed all of it...... "Welp I guess that cut's breakfast short..."

Dawn: "Damm! I really wanted to finish that croissant! Ehh I guess you can have that side of the field for training and I'll take this side for my combinations"

Ash: Damm I still wanted to hang out.. "Remember if you need help I'm only a shout away"

Dawn: "Oh thank you prince charming!"

Ash: "Yeah yeah..... Hey Pikachu maybe you should go with Dawn and help her with whatever she needs since this upcoming gym is a ground type-"

Pikachu: "Pika!"

Ash: "Yeah yeah I promise I'll use you in our next gym battle...."

3rd pov: After 3 hours both Ash and Dawn had gotten quite a few things done, Dawn had worked out a combo with her Swablu's disarming voice and her pachirisu's thundershock while ash had been perfecting houndours water fang and had taught the pup hydro pump, For Scizor ash taught him ( with the help of tm) brick break, and for whirlipede he taught it toxic spikes (just in case) and he worked on perfecting venom drench. The 2 trainers both being tired from their training sessions thought it'd be best for them to get some lunch so they returned their Pokemon to their pokeballs and headed towards a small diner where there currently ordering there food.....
