Ch. 37 Last Day of Training

3rd pov: It had been a few days since our hero's had made it to Vertress City and to say the atmosphere was intense would be an understatement. This year the league were doing things differently, whomever won this conference could choose which league to challenge (out of the core 12) making alot of trainers excited. Hearing the news didn't faze Ash much since his dream was and has never been to win the league, if anything it was just a stepping stone but he was willing to admit that'd it be pretty nice to become champion of his home region........ or any region for Arceus's sake....... but that was to think about later, for now Ash still had some training to do! Though with alot still on his mind he made the wise decision to ask for help from some of his "friends".......

Ash: "So you're sure you want to help me train my Pokemon?"

Dawn: "Yes we've got it covered Ash"

May: "Yeah now go practice with Pikachu, we'll handle the rest"

Ash: "If you really are sure then help work on their dodging skills and reaction time, maybe have your own Pokemon attack them out of the blue"

Dawn and May: "Right!"

Ash: Weird......

3rd pov: Laughing quietly at their friends odd behavior both Ash and Pikachu ventured into a nearby forest so they could "train".....

Pikachu: "Pika?"

Ash: "No we aren't training today, besides you don't need training Pikachu"

Pikachu: "Pika?"

Ash: "Well actually I was gonna ask you for some advice.....

Pikachu: "Pika pika!"

Ash: "Yeah well I couldn't ask Brock because...... well Brock's Brock. I mean I love him but he can be......"

Pikachu: "Pika......"

Ash: "Yeah anywho, I was going to ask about what you think I should do after Unova"

3rd pov: Pikachu looked at it's trainer with a surprised Pikachu face and quietly sat down next to his trainer so he could listen.

Ash: "Well for starters, a few days ago after we checked into the Vertress poke-center one of Lance's G-Men pulled me aside, remember when I vanished for a few hours?"

3rd pov: Pikachu nodded it's head showing that it indeed does remember that day, specifically because Ash had forgot to give him his ketchup......

Ash: "Anyways I ended up speaking with Lance and well he....... he asked for my help. After Unova wether I win or not he wants me to head back to Kanto and help him deal with Giovanni since I have... quite the experience dealing with them"

3rd pov: Pikachu snickered, remembering all of the MANY time they had encountered the criminal organization, but the small rodent was confused. This sounded like a sweet deal so why was Ash asking him for advice?

Ash: "The catch, however, is that I'll have to stay in Kanto and Jhoto for about a year or so until we deal with team rocket so that would be the end of our adventures. And then there's the problem of explaining this to Dawn, I think she was planning on traveling with me to my next region"

Pikachu: "Pika pi?"

Ash: "Yeah I know there's contest's in Kanto, that's not the problem. I just don't want her..... to get involved with all of this. I mean you were fighting Giovanni with me, that man is very dangerous and I don't know what'd I do with myself if Dawn got hurt because of me....."

3rd pov: Pikachu finally understood why his trainer was having such a hard time making a decision, this wouldn't be easy for anyone....
