*Time Jump*

9 months later:

We have been on the road for basically 9 months now. Lori was almost through her pregnancy. We keep trying to find a place that we could hold up for long enough for her to have the baby. While traveling like normal we came across an abandoned house. Carl, Rick, Daryl, T-dog, ang Glenn all went in to clear it. The rest of us checked the outside. After a few minutes Daryl came out and helped carry the little bit of supplies that we had in. We all sat in the living room. It was completely silent. I was sitting up against a wall and was exhausted. Daryl came by and sat next to me. He motioned for me to take the water bottle out of his hand. I shook my head but Daryl wouldn't let up. I took the water and took a drink. I screwed the cap back on before sitting it next to me. Daryl grabbed my hand and our fingers were interlocked as I held his hand. I rested my head on his shoulder. I wanted to let myself fall asleep. However T-dog gave us a signal. Their was a small group of walkers coming in. We quickly packed everything back up and were on the road again.

We stopped in the middle of the road and were looking at the map. "Now where" I said trying to hide the fact that I just wanted to sleep. That is all any of us wanted. "Well we could circle around east then head North" Rick said tracing the route with his finger. "But that was where we started" Glenn said looking the map over. "I know maybe we missed something" Rick said glancing at the map. "Ok but before we head out again can we take a small break. We are running low on water. Their is a stream over their we can boil it later." T-dog said wiping sweat from his forehead. "Knock yourself out" Rick said folding the map. "Well the others do that why don't you and me go scout ahead" Daryl said walking over to Rick. "Let's go then" Rick said grabbing his gun. Then they were off in the forest. I looked over and saw Beth and Kaley sleeping in one of the cars. Carl was out to.

After about 20 minutes Rick and Daryl came back. "Changing plans we found something better" Rick said getting into his car. We all got in our cars and were anxiously waiting. Then we all saw it. A prison. It was full of walkers though. It would be a fight but in the end it would be worth it. We got out of our cars and ran to the fence. Glenn took some tools and cut the fence open so we could get in. Once we were in Rick quickly tied it up so no one or anything could get in. We all ran towards the front of gate. "That get over their is open" I said looking at Daryl. "I can go in. In and out no problem" Glenn said looking over the situation. "No suicide run" Maggie responded. "I'll go. Daryl and Carol go up in this tower. Kass and Carl up in that one. Hershel and the rest of you on the fence." Rick said looking at all of us. We all nodded as we went to our positions. Me and Carl climbed the stairs to the surprisingly cleared guard tower. Once up their I looked over everything. When Rick noticed that we were all ready he opened the gate and Lori shut it behind him. We all started to fire our weapons at any walkers to keep Rick alive. After what seemed like forever Rick finally got the gate closed. He ran into the guard tower next to him and we all knew we won. "He did it" I said looking at Carl who had his gun still in his hand. "Lit it up" I heard Daryl yell. Then we were all shooting at the leftover walkers that still roamed the empty field. After the last one was down. Me and Carl went back down the stairs of the guard tower. We walked back to the rest of the group and we walked into the prison. It was unbelievable. Daryl put his hand on my shoulder as we walked in. He pulled me closer to him and we stayed like this.

It was getting late and we had made a fire. We hadn't gone deeper in to get to the cell blocks I was sitting in the grass on my jacket. We were eating the last of the food we had. We hadn't cleared out everything in this area so we were hoping to find more. I was sitting at the fire when I noticed Rick was walking the perimeter for the third time. "The fences are fine" Hershel said. "How do you know" Carl said. I was surprised he was still awake. "He is about to have walked that fence three times. If their was something wrong he would have found it" Hershel said looking at Rick. After about another 30 minutes almost everyone was sleeping. I backed up a little farther just like everyone else had. I laid down and closed my eyes. I didn't even realized that I fell asleep so fast. I was woken up when Daryl sat next to me. "Sorry" he said looking down at me. "It's fine" I giggled. I noticed that he was worried about something. I sat up and leaned my head on his shoulder. "What's wrong" I asked while playing with the grass. "What makes you think something is wrong" He asked laughing a little bit. "Daryl I grew up with homophobic parents and a lesbian sister. I know when something is off" I said laughing. "Well I guess I'm worried about your safety. What if this place isn't as good as we think" Daryl said staring at the prison. "Hey you don't need to worry" I said as I grabbed his arm and put it over my shoulder. He laughed at this but didn't stop me. I looked up at him and kissed him. "Ok I am going back to bed now" I said laying back down. He chuckled and laid next to me. He wrapped his arms around me and I rested my head on his chest. I was waiting for him to fall asleep to see if he was still worrying about me. After I knew he was sleeping I closed my eyes and let my self fall asleep.
