Kaley's POV:

I slowly opened my eyes. I was in a room that I didn't remember. It was a hospital room. I was searching for any sign of Daryl or Kass or anyone. I got up and walked over to the window. It looked like Atlanta. My and Cleo had barely made it out of there while I was looking for Kass. I looked at the clock and it was still working. So was the machine I was hooked to. I went over to the door hoping I could get out but it was locked. "Hey let me out" I said as I started to bang on the door. Then I heard footsteps coming towards my room. I took the needle out of my arm and waited for them to come in. "Everything is gonna be ok ok" a man with a doctor outfit said. "Put it down right now" the woman in a police officer outfit said. "Can you remember your name" the doctor said. I looked at them before answering. "Kaley" I said looking around. "The man I was with. Is he here to" I said hoping they might have taken Daryl to. "Honey you were alone" the officer said. "No I wasn't" I said. I looked around again. "I am doctor Steven Edwards and this is officer Dawn Lerner. We are here to help you." the man said. "There is a shower in that bathroom over there clothes are on the counter. We knew you would make it. Once you change there is a laundry room two doors down" Dawn said. Then her radio started to buzz and she left the room. "My sister Kass is she here" I said with hope. "No no one named Kass is here. After you get dressed and everything my office is down the hall. Come talk" Edwards said. "Thank you" I said as he turned to walk out. He looked over his shoulder and nodded. I went into the bathroom and took a shower. It was the first one since the prison. It felt great. As I was standing there letting the water run off my body my thoughts caught up to me I had no idea where Kass or Daryl was now. All I wanted was to get out of here as soon as possible and find them again. I turned the water off and got dressed. I towel dried my hair and put it up in a pony tail. I grabbed the old gown I was wearing and went to the laundry room. No one was in there. I put the clothes in the basket and went to Edwards office. I knocked on the door and waited. About 5 seconds later he opened the door. "Hi, Come in" he said moving out of my way. I walked in and sat down. "So you keep talking about the man you were with. He a boyfriend" Edwards said. "No. He is my sisters though." I said. "Did you have a boyfriend. Not to sound weird but some of these guys are touchy. If you say you have one they should leave you alone. "No I don't. I have a girlfriend" I said looking around. "I see. So what happened. Why aren't you with your sister Kass right" Edwards said leaning back in his chair. "We were holding up at a prison. Then this evil man came and blew up everything. Broke the fences. Killed my girlfriends father. I got out with Daryl. Then the house we were staying at got over run. We ran and I got away from him. Then everything went dark" I said looking up to him. "I see" he said nodding his head. I nodded and looked away. "Come with me" he said standing up. I stood up and followed him. He led me to a cafeteria. "You must be hungry right." Edwards said handing me a tray. That was when another officer came up. "I hope you realize the more you take the more you have to pay" he said walking up behind me. "Gorman leave her alone. Put it on my tab" Edwards said handing me a black water bottle. I nodded and took it. I grabbed some food and turned around and almost ran into him. "I am the one who saved you" He said lightly touching my side. "Thank you" I said and walked away. I went back to my room and sat the tray on the small table. I looked out the window again before going to eat. After I was done I brought the tray back. On my way back to my room the doors swung open and in came Dawn and Gorman with another patient. "Kaley we need you" Edwards said going into the room. I ran that way and saw a bruised man. It wasn't anyone I knew. "He fell from a second story building probably trying to get away from some of those things." Gorman said backing away. "Help him" Dawn said letting Edwards take over. "You said we can't waste resources" Edwards fired back. "You want to save more people so save him" Dawn said again. "Kaley get me a needle with 400 millimeters of penicillin" Edwards ordered but Dawn beat me to it.  Edwards looked at her before fixing his glasses. Edwards took the needle and rolled up the mans sleeve. He injected the medication and waited. His heart beat went down slightly. "Did you do it" Dawn asked. Edwards ripped open the mans shirt revealing bruises. "See them that means there is internal bleeding. I need a cat scan to confirm it and even if I had access to one I don't have the resources to save him. I told you this was a waste of resources." Edwards said staring at Dawn. Then Dawn turned around and slapped me opening one of the wounds on my face. She looked back at Edwards before leaving. Edwards brought me back to my room and re stitched my face. "Sorry about her. When she gets upset she takes out on the people she likes." Edwards said. I nodded. "Here are some new clothes" Edwards said handing me another pair of scrubs. "What's wrong with these ones" I said looking at the ones I was wearing. "Dawn likes things neat" he said. "She must really like your office then." I joked. "We all have our ways of getting back at her" Edwards said with a smile. I nodded and he left the room. I got changed and went to put the old ones in. Except this time there was another person in there. He looked to be my age. "Hey" he said when he noticed me. "Hi" I said shyly. "I'm Noah" he said. "Kaley" I said as I put the clothes in the basket. "Nice to see you walking around. When I first saw you didn't think you would wake up. But Dawn has some sort of radar and knew I guess" Noah said lightly laughing. "Yeah. If wasn't for all of you I might be dead. But I don't want to stay I need to find my sister and girlfriend" I said looking up at him. "Well I have been here since the start so don't plan on leaving" Noah said folding the clothes. "What they don't let you leave" I said in concern. "Nah but I can help you get out. I want to go home to West Virginia. All you need to do is when Dawn is distracted go into her office and get the elevator shaft key. It is the only way out that isn't guarded." Noah said quieting his voice so no one would over here us. "Give me an hour" he said. I nodded and walked out. Then I heard screaming. "Kaley" Edwards yelled. I walked in and saw a female already wearing the scrubs. She had a bite on her arm. "Either we take off your arm or you do you ain't gonna die" Dawn said. I tried to walk out remembering what happened to Hershel. "Where do you think you going" Dawn snapped at me. "I-" I started to say. "Do you want her to die" Dawn yelled out. "Kaley I need you to hold her down" Edwards said. Reluctantly I walked back to the female. I held her down and she was screaming. It killed me. I wasn't there when Rick cut off Hershel's leg but seeing him after he was miserable until we found a prosthetic. After it was all done. I had to get yet another pair of scrubs. I grabbed another pair and got rid of mine. "I have to help Dawn stock supplies. Get the key" Noah said. I nodded. Just as he said him Dawn and the other officers were loading supplies. I went to Dawns office and looked for the key. It took me awhile but I finally found it. I saw the girl who we just tried to save. She was laying on the floor dead. I went to leave and then Gorman walked in. "Hi there" He said. "Hey. Dawn just needed her key" I said trying to walk out. "Oh really" he said stepping in front of me. "Because I was just with Dawn and I don't remember that conversation" he said walking towards me. I didn't say anything. "But we can let this whole thing slid and Dawn will never find out but I need something from you in return" Gorman said still walking towards me. It got to a point to where I couldn't walk backwards because of Dawn's desk. He connected his lips to my neck and I was panicking. There was an empty jar on the desk. I grabbed it and broke it against his head. He fell to the floor and the now walker version of the lady bit him. I fell back and left the office. I shut the door quietly and turned down the hallway. I saw Dawn walking away from Noah. "Kaley Everything ok" she said stopping me. "Oh Gorman was looking for you. I saw him walking towards your office" I said. "Thank you" she responded . I nodded and turned. I patted my pocket letting Noah know I had the key. He nodded and grabbed a bag. I saw my bag sitting in the corner. I looked in it and saw they never took my gun or my knife. I smiled and grabbed it. I walked out and saw Noah. He nodded and we fast walked towards the elevator shaft. We got there and it was empty straight down. Noah grabbed the rope and tied it to a nearby door. He told me to go down first. I did. I slowly slid down the rope. I got to the bottom but there was still a small drop from where I was to the bottom which was covered in dead bodies. Noah then started to climb down. However he got about halfway down when a walker grabbed him. He accidently let go of the rope. Noah fell down the rest of the way. "Ahh" he said as he hit the ground. I shone my flashlight at him and saw him mess with his ankle. "Are you ok" I said before hesitantly jumping down. I didn't get hurt because I was closer. He stood up but limped because his ankle was sore. We made our way through the dark hallways. I could here the groans of the walkers. I didn't want to fire my gun just yet. I took my knife and made my way through all the walkers. We opened the door and I was blinded by the first part of outside light in god only knows how long. They parking lot was flooded with walkers. I took out the gun and started to shoot. We got through the first part of fencing. Noah started to run to open the gate when I was grabbed and drug to the floor. Noah got out but I had been caught. The brought me back in and Dawn drug me to her office. "What the hell did you do" Dawn said looking at the now two officer bodies. "He wasn't a good man" I said. "I have built something here" she said looking at the floor. She saw a broken picture and slapped me one last time.
