Chapter 67: United Together

Daryl's POV:

It had been a long ride. After half of them split off and where heading towards Alexandria I had no idea who was alive or not. I felt bad for leaving Kass like I did. It was only supposed to be a dry run. Then the gunfire and horn that came from that way was making me worry she wasn't alive. Me, Abraham, and Sasha had been ambushed by another group of people. I got my bow taken by someone named Dwight in a burned out forest. They took the car to. I tried to help them escape from people who were after them but the still left. I got back with Sasha and Abraham and we had a fuel truck. We were on our way back when we came across a group of bikers. They tried to take our stuff and said it belonged to Negan. One of them cut my back and I took the rocket launcher in the back and blew them up before they could kill Sasha and Abraham. We tried to radio into Alexandria and the only thing that was said was 'help'. This was worrying. 

Glenn's POV:

Me and Nicholas were running to set that building on fire. However the building was already gone. We were trapped with hundreds of walkers right behind us. We had no way out and the only thing to help us was a dumpster. We got on top of it and had no idea how we were going to get out of this one. Nicholas looked like he zoned out and when I tried to help him he only said 'thank you' before lifting his gun to his head and firing. This caused us both to fall off the dumpster. he landed on top of me and the walkers got to him first. I was able to climb underneath the dumpster and was stuck with no idea how to escape. 

Kass's POV:

We were walking through the streets to get away from all the walkers. It was getting late and the armory was still far away. Rick lead us out of sight from walkers to talk to us. "Ok new plans. We get cars and lead the walkers away. They are to spread out" Rick said. "Ok. But Judith isn't going to make it there without crying most likely" Jessie said. "I can get her to my church. She will be safe there" Gabriel said. "Can you do this" Michonne asked. "I have to. And I will" he said looking at Rick. Rick nodded and let Carl give Judith to Gabriel. "They will be ok" Jessie said. Rick nodded and we interlocked hands again. 

Carol's POV:

I had found that Morgan was hiding one of the wolves in the cellar. I had no idea why but I was going to do what needed to be done. Morgan was standing in my way though. "I'm not going to let you do that" Morgan said. He was hurt and Morgan had brought Denise to help him. "I will kill you to kill him. Cause I don't want anyone else to die" I said. Morgan charged at me and it wasn't long before everything was dark and quiet. 

Tara's POV:

Me, Rosita, and Eugene had made it out of where we were and was on our way to the cellar. We walked in and saw one of those wolves holding Denise with a knife and Morgan and Carol knocked out on the floor. "Slide me a gun" he said. We all dropped our weapons and slid them over. "Good now I am leaving. Don't try anything if you want her to live" he said. He slowly took her to the door and left. "We need to go after her." I said. "We won't get to her. She is a doctor and he is sick" Rosita said. 

Kass's POV:

It was basically pitch black out now. We had to walk really slow and were still undetected by the walkers. All of the sudden Sam froze. He let go of Ricks hand and stopped moving. "Sam. Sam what's wrong" Jessie said. He started to cry and break down. "Sam" Rick said. "Sam just look at mom" Ron said. Before Sam could move again he was swarmed by walkers. "MOMMY" he yelled out. I was in shock. "Mom" Ron said trying to get Jessie to move. Jessie let out a scream. "Sam" she said. "Jessie come on" Carl said. Then walkers swarmed her and brought her down. "No" Rick said. "Dad" Carl said. Jessie still had ahold of Carl's hand. Rick with only thinking about the safety of his son and us took his axe and cut Jessie's arm off. Carl fell to the ground and Jessie was devoured.  I was in utter shock and had no idea what to do. Carl stood up and Ron aimed a gun at him. "You" he said standing there. "You" he said again before Michonne took her sword and pushed it through his back. The gun fired out of reaction and Ron fell also getting ate. Rick looked at all of us before back at Carl. The bullet had hit his eye. "Dad" he said before collapsing to the ground. "Carl" Rick said picking his son up and running to the infirmary. Michonne was trying to cover him. I tried to follow but was cut off. I had to run in the opposite direction. 

Denise's POV:

Me and the guy where almost out of Alexandria. "Seems like someone tried to put up a fight" he said. He had a plan to get to the watch tower and climb over. We made the run for it but I was almost grabbed by a walker. He went to save me and got bit. "You get me to the infirmary I can save your life. I'll save your life" I said. He nodded and we ran. We got to a garage and I was able to take his belt and slow the bleeding. We went to run again when he was shot in the chest. "Go" Carol said. I took off running to the infirmary and somehow made it. I wasn't there for more then a few seconds before Heath saw Rick and Michonne running with Carl. "It's the kid" Aaron said. "Was he bit" Spencer asked. "Nope" I said. "Aaron I need an iv and all the clean towels. "Spencer get my tools" I said. I opened the door and let them in. "Was this a gunshot" I asked. "Hand gun. Close range" Michonne answered. They had walker guts on them and Michonne took the cloth off her and him. I was working on his eye when Rick left. "Rick" Michonne continued to yell out. He left to take care of some of the walkers. 

Kass's POV:

I kept running until I saw Rick coming out to fight. I took my knife and started to fight as well. I made my way to Rick. "Where did you go" he asked. "Got cut off by walkers." I said helping him fight. 

Glenn's POV:

Me and Enid got back to Alexandria. We grabbed our stuff to help Maggie get off the watch tower and it was moving. It was only a matter of time before both the tower and Maggie would fall. "Go get her. Go get her" I yelled. Enid ran over there and started to climb the wall. "Hey over here. Come one over here. Come get me" I yelled getting the walkers attention. "Glenn" I heard Maggie yell. I saw Enid get up on the tower. "Come on over here" I said. I was running out of ammo and just started to hit them. "Go just go" I yelled. "No. Over here" Maggie yelled. I was pushed into the corner. "Glenn" Maggie yelled out. Suddenly there was gun fire and all the walkers in front of me dropped. "Could you get the gate" Abraham yelled out. "Appreciate it pal" he said shooting more. The pulled up the truck and Daryl, Sasha, and Abraham were there. "The hell happened" Daryl said as I got into the truck. "I don't know I just got back. Listen we might be able to draw them away but there spread" I said. "Nah we get them all together we won't need to draw them away. I have a plan" Daryl said. 

Kass's POV:

Me and Rick were now joined by Aaron, Heath, Spencer, Gabriel, Rosita, Eric, Olivia, Tara, Eugene, Carol, Morgan, and many others. "We can beat them" Rick said. There was rapid gunfire coming from the front of Alexandria. We were fighting with everything we had. 

Daryl's POV:

I got on top of the truck and drove it out to the pond. "Alright" I said letting them know to stop. I let some of the gas from the truck out into the pond and waited. After I thought there was enough I got back on top the truck. I took the rocket launcher and shot it into the lake. the lake immediately caught fire. And we waited. 

Kass's POV:

I watched as the pond caught fire and saw a fuel truck in the distance. Most the walkers went to it but there were still some coming at us. We took them down and we were all covered in blood. I knelt down to catch my breath again. I was exhausted and my arm was in pain still from getting stabbed. I was in my own little world when I looked up. I saw Rick talking to Daryl. I stood up and froze. Rick nodded and Daryl turned around. I ran up to him and wrapped my arms around him. "You fucking scared me" I said into his chest. "I'm sorry" he said. I looked up at him and kissed him. After I pulled away he noticed my arm. "What happened" he asked. "Some people broke in and one of them stabbed me. There dead. All of them" I said. I noticed the blood on his back. "Lets get to the infirmary" I said. "For you and me both" he said. I nodded and we walked there. In all this chaos I got Daryl back. 

After the infirmary we went for a walk. He grabbed my hand and we just walked. "Ow" I said after moving my arm to fast. "You are one strong person" he said. "Kass are you ok" Spencer said running up to us. "Yeah why" I asked confused. "I heard you say ow and thought Daryl hit you" he said. "You thought I hit her. You do realize I wanted to kill the man who was hitting her. The only times I have touched her is when I saved her, hugged her, or fucked her. So stop thinking that you are going to win her over." he said grabbing my hand and walking away. "Kass he is dangerous." he said next. Daryl walked over to him. "Leave her alone. Or I will show you dangerous" Daryl said. Daryl walked back to me and we walked home together.
