Chapter 59: One run gone wrong

I woke up to the faint noise of Judith crying. I opened my eyes and noticed that I wasn't dressed. I rubbed my eyes and glanced over at Daryl. I couldn't help but smile. I rolled over and maneuvered my way into his arms. I laid my head on his chest and could tell he was waking up by the change of pace his breathing took. "What are you doing" he said wrapping and arm around me. His hand landed around my lower back. "Oh what its fine for us to have sex but me laying on your chest is your boundary" I said laughing. He rolled his eyes and kissed my forehead. "I think we should talk to Deanna about staying in our own house" he said sighing. "Yeah I think that might be a good idea" I said giggling. He looked over at the time. "8:39" he said. All the sudden there was a knock on the door. "It's me" Rick said. "Come in" Daryl said. We were both still naked but we were covered. "Kass Aiden just said they need to make a run to get something for the solar panels" he said looking everywhere but at us. "Alright tell him I'll be out in a few minutes" I responded. He nodded and left. "And you called me awkward" Daryl said sitting up. "Oh come on you can't even really deny it. At the farm the other night at the pond. Your just an awkward person" I said also sitting up. "I thought I changed your mind last night on that" he said grabbing clothes. "You didn't change my mind. You should me you were dominant but no more" I joked also grabbing clothes. We both got dressed and he walked over to me. "Be careful out there. Me and Aaron are going out side the gates again so make sure I have a reason to come back" Daryl said putting his hands on my waist. "I will be fine. I have gone on so many other runs and I think Deanna talked some sense into Nicholas and Aiden" I said wrapping my arms around his neck. He nodded and kissed me. I kissed him back and eventually pulled away. We both walked outside and I grabbed my water bottle and filled it up. "Have fun last night" Michonne said from the living room. "Oh dear lord" I said walking out the door laughing. I saw the others getting ready. "Sorry I was getting dressed and stuff" I said walking up. "So how many times a week are the others going to be staying at our house" Glenn said loading the truck. "Oh my god. Well tomorrow I am going to talk to Deanna about getting me and Daryl are own house so you guys shouldn't have to worry." I said smiling. "Alright" Glenn said laughing. "Ok I think were ready. Let's head out" Aiden said walking over to his mother and father they said buy to everyone and we all headed out. 

It took us about 45 minutes to get to the location. "Alright we should check all the exits so if things go south we know where to go" Glenn said. "Already know. It's called going out the front" Aiden said grabbing us our guns. "Glenn's right we need to know every exit." I said. Aiden nodded and we broke into two groups. It was me, Tara, Noah, and Eugene. Eugene was there because he knew what we actually needed. We got to the front and we saw inside the fence there was at least one hundred walkers. "Well were not going out the front" I said looking at everyone. We went back to where we started. "The way we went is cleared what about you" Nicholas called out as we were all walking back. "No way out if we go through the front. Basically a death sentence. At least a hundred of them" I said looking around. "Alright lets get in and get out as soon as possible. Don't want to stay here any longer then necessary." Aiden said walking through the side door we were going in. We all followed and turned on our flashlights. We walked in and from what we could see it was clear. "Keep your eyes opened. We don't know who or what is hiding from us in hear" Glenn said. We all stayed close to each other. "Ok spread out. Aiden you go with Kass. Nicolas you go with me. Eugene you stay with Tara and Noah. Most importantly stay close to each other" Glenn said as he walked away with Nicholas. I turned to walk away and Aiden followed me. "So I heard you punched my brother" he said quietly. "Sure did" I said scanning the boxes for what we were looking for. "I would have done the same thing. I heard what he was saying at our house the other night." he said also checking the boxes. I nodded and couldn't find it. "Found them" Tara called out. "Alright get them quick" Aiden said as we walked towards them. Then we heard distance groan of a walker. "It sounds like one" Glenn whispered but yelled. Aiden aimed his gun and walked forward. I saw it but it was armored and looked like it was in the army or something. "Aiden don't shoot it" I whispered. He didn't listen and shot anyway. "Aiden Stop" I yelled but then there was an explosion. I fell backwards and a shelf fell next to me. I laid on my back and my flashlight rolled under another shelf. I was barely able to reach it and shone it around. "Is everyone ok" I said standing up. I looked around and saw Aiden got impaled on 5 sticks. "Oh my god" I said. Glenn and Nicholas both looked. "Tara is out" Noah said looking over there. She was. She hit her head and was bleeding. All the sudden I heard grunts. I looked over and saw Aiden was still alive. "Guys he is still alive" I said in shock. "Alright Noah how many rounds are in that flare" Glenn asked looking around. "4" he said. "Alright fire them over there to lead those walkers away" he said. I didn't even realize that walkers had gotten in. "Kass, Nicholas help me. Noah you keep watch" Glenn said and we all ran to Aiden. "Your going to be ok" Nicholas said trying to reassure him. However I didn't believe it. We started to try to free him. "The flare is running out:" Noah said frantically. "Just go" Aiden said. "No" Nicholas said. "Guys we need to go" Noah said. We listened and we ran back to where we would be safe. I heard them tearing into Aiden and his screams were killing me. When we were finally safe. We put Eugene in a room with Tara and told him to protect her. Eugene was terrified but they needed to stay safe. "We need to find a way out of here" Nicholas said frantically as he looked over at Aiden. "You guys go lead the walkers away. Once it is safe I will get her to you guys" Eugene said. We agreed that we would do that and we started to get ready to make a run for it. I took one last glance over at Aiden and just shook my head. Glenn was able to find another flare and shot them off giving us enough time to run. However I could tell that Nicholas was terrified. He sprinted towards the front. "Nicholas no" me and Glenn both yelled but it didn't work. We saw a revolving door and we went in. However we were immediately surrounded on both sides. "Damn now what" I said as me, Glenn, Noah, and Nicholas tried to hold the doors shut. "We will figure it out" Glenn reassured.

It has been at this point at least 30 minutes of us being trapped in this place. All the sudden the van drove by. Eugene was able to get Tara out and was leading the walkers away. We needed to plan the way we would get out but Nicholas just wanted out. Nicholas was pushing the door on his side and it was pushing our side open. "Nicholas wait"  I yelled out. He wouldn't listen though. He got himself out and it caused Noah to get pushed out. However there was no way of survival cause of the amount of walkers. "NO" me and Glenn yelled as we witnessed Noah get torn apart. We both fell back. We looked at each other and new we needed to go. We pushed the doors open and ran after Nicholas, Eugene, and Tara. I watched Nicholas pull Eugene out of the van and try to leave him. Glenn ran and pulled him out. He began to punch him over and over again. "Where is Noah" Eugene said looking at me. Glenn put Nicholas who was now passed out in the trunk with Tara. I just shook my head and got into the van. 

We drove back and it soon became dark. It was very upset to see Noah and Aiden. I got out after we entered the gates to Alexandria. I started to walk back to the house when I was stopped by Rick. "Hey Daryl talked to Deanna about getting you two your own house it is right across the street from where we are" he said walking by my side. I nodded and looked down. "What happened is everything alright" he said next. "We lost Noah and Aiden out there" I said looking up. Tears came to my eyes. Noah reminded me so much of Kaley and now he was gone. He sighed and nodded. "Get some rest we will talk tomorrow" he said grabbing my shoulder as we stopped in front of me and Daryl's house. I nodded and walked up the porch. I opened the door and saw Daryl sitting on the couch. "Your back" he said standing up. I nodded and wiped my tears. "What happened" he said coming to my side. "Noah and Aiden are gone. Noah was the only connection to Kaley I had left and" I said getting choked up. He hugged me as more tears fell. "How" he said pulling away. "Aiden shot a grenade that was on a walker and it blew up. He got impaled on like 5 sticks and then walkers came. Tara got hurt. We ran and ended up in revolving doors. Nicholas got out to go after the van and Noah got pushed to the walkers in the process." I said wiping my face. He nodded and hugged me again. "Let's get some sleep" he said pulling away and grabbing my hand. He led me up to our bedroom and we laid down. He wrapped his arms around me and didn't want to let go. I was able to stop crying and fell asleep.
