It has been a little over a month since we have even seen the Governor. We have a council now. It is a lot different then one person trying to lead. The members of the council are Daryl, Michonne, Glenn, Carol, Hershel, and me. We have plenty of space for growing food now. We even found some pigs. We have added more around the fences to protect from walkers. That hasn't been stopping them though. Their have been a lot recently and they keep coming. Everyday their is a crew that goes out to try to take them out. I usually go down to help. I also help around with the gardening, I take watch and go on runs more often. I was clearing out some of the walkers with Carl. "How long do you think it will take to clear them out" Carl asked while he continued to drive the metal pole into the walkers. "Well if they keep coming like this it might take awhile" I said taking a quick drink from my water. I saw Rick working in the garden alone. "Hey why don't you go help your dad with the garden. I got this" I said looking back at Carl. "Are you sure" Carl said stopping and looking at me. I nodded my head. "Yeah. your dad could use some help" I said before going back to work. Carl nodded and sat the bar back along the fence. He walked over to where his dad was and started to help him. After another 30 minutes or so I had taken out over half of the walkers but there were more coming. I heard footsteps coming from behind me so I stopped. I looked over and saw Daryl walking over to me. "How are taken care of so far" Daryl asked looking at the bodies. "Well I took out 45 and Carl took out 21 so 66" I said taking a drink of my water. "And looks like more are coming." Daryl said looking at the woods where the walkers continued to exit. "Yeah. I'm done for the time being. We need to find away to clear the bodies though" I said putting the bar against the fence. "Alright but me, Glenn, Zach, Bob, and Michonne are about to head out. We will be back tonight" Daryl said turning to face me. "Alright don't get yourself killed" I said as I lightly chuckled. "I'll try" he said as he pulled me into a hug. He leaned down and kissed me on my lips. He pulled away and walked towards the car they were taking. I saw Lizzie and Mika running around in the field. I loved to see everyone as happy as possible. "Kass" I heard Carol yell for me as I was watching the kids play. "What's up" I said walking up to her. "The water pipe that runs to the river. You know the one that filters out everything. I think it is stuck again. Do you mind going out and trying to clear it. I would but I have to go get story time set up" Carol asked motioning for the river. "Yeah I got it" I said nodding my head. "Thank you so much" Carol said before walking back to the prison. I grabbed my knife because we try not use guns as much. Only if it needed. I walked to the fence and Maggie was standing their. "Where you off to" she said as I started to unchain the fence. "Water pipe got stuck again" I said opening the gate. "Be careful" she said closing the gate behind me. "Always" I yelled back to her as I made my way over to the water. I started to clear it out when some walkers were coming. I stood up and easily took them out then I heard one fall behind me. I turned and saw Carl standing their. "Why are you out here" I said as I finished the pipe. "I could see you about to get surrounded. Came to help" Carl said keeping watch. "Don't worry my dad sent me out here" he said. It made me feel a little better. After I fixed the pipe we walked back to the prison. I walked towards where we kept the food and grabbed an apple before walking back to the guard tower. I still liked to go up their and just look over the trees. Daryl always knew if he couldn't find me to look their. It was getting dark and I knew they would be back soon. I heard someone coming up the steps. The door opened and I saw Carl. "Hey what's going on" I said as he sat down across from me. "If I tell you something will you promise not to tell my dad. Not yet at least" Carl said looking out the small window. "Yeah what's up" I said looking at the boy trying to figure out was wrong. "Well first I think one of the pigs are sick. Same with Patrick. But I was curious about what Carol did at story time with the other kids. She is teaching them how to use knives." Carl said looking at me. I nodded. "Their parents probably won't like it. My dad won't like it but I didn't want to bring it to the council. But I needed to tell someone." Carl said looking back out the window. "I won't say anything. But I do think that it is fine to teach these kids how to use knives. They need to protect themselves." I said. It was dark now. "Why don't you head back to the cells. Get some sleep" I said looking at the boy. "Ok. What about you" he said as he stood up. "I have gate watch here in like 8 minutes till 12:00 so I need to get to that. I said standing up to. "Ok see you in the morning" Carl said as he left. "See ya" I said. I stood their before going down to the gate.

My shift went by fast. Daryl and the rest still weren't back yet. After Karan showed up to take over I started to walk back towards the prison. I got their and laid on me and Daryl's bed. I didn't realize I had fallen asleep until I heard something hit the ground. I turned over and saw Daryl sitting his crossbow down in the corner. "Sorry" he said as he laid next to me. "It's good" I said laying back down. "What took you all so long." I asked looking at him. "We got caught up. Their was like a camp on the roof and they all fell through the ceiling. We lost Zach" Daryl said looking at me. "Damn. We had 30 days without an accident. God that sucks" I said looking at him. He nodded before wrapping one arm around me. He pulled me closer to him and kissed my forehead. I fell asleep and slept as peaceful as possible through the night.
