Cynthia POV:
Cynthia: Lauren, you don't understand how hard it is to manage social media and school

Lauren: Are you forgetting that I am also a tiktoker

Cynthia: haha no but i just need someone to complain to

BELL RINGS

Lauren: well, better get going!

Cynthia: noo please don't make me goooo

Lauren: haha

Cynthia walks into class and sits where she always does (back of the class beside Sabrina)

Cynthia: hey sab
Sabrina: hey cyn
Cynthia: do you know what we are doing today?
Sabrina: no clue

Teacher: ok everyone settle down, today we have a new student but it looks like he is not showing up

Sabrina: ooo he said "he" maybe he's cute

Cynthia: sab, you know i'm not interested in boys right now, it's strictly social media and school

Sabrina: i know why your doing this, it's because of chase right?

Cynthia: ...

Sabrina: cynthia, you have to get over him, he cheated, don't make him the reason why you won't be happy anymore

Cynthia: trust me, i couldn't care less about him, it's just my mental health, i'm putting myself first this time.

new student walks in
??: sorry i'm late, traffic.

Teacher: it's ok just take a seat, Quinton Griggs right?

Quinton: yup

Quinton's POV:
This is the worst part of moving schools, the first day when everyone is staring at you. especially now since i am late.
*Quinton looks for a spot to sit and finds one beside a girl he recognizes but he doesnt remember where from*

Cynthias POV:
The new guy was really attractive but i promised myself no boys until i get caught up with all my homework.
I see him trying to find a spot and I make eye contact with him, before i knew it, he pulled the chair out beside me and sat down.
A whiff of cologne blew into my nose

*Sabrina mouths "he's cute!!"

*I shake my head*

Teacher: good news, i am handing out a project that is worth quite a chunk of your mark, which is due in about a week and a half

*the class sighs*

Teacher: I love the enthusiasm, I also forgot to mention, this is going to be a partner project, and i am expecting the work to be split in half, i will not be marking them if only one of you does it.

I look at sab and she is already partners with cooper, i throw my head back in frustration.

i look around the class to see if anyone doesn't have a partner but it looked as if everyone had one.

Sabrina: look, the new boy doesn't have a partner, guess you gotta go with him now

I look at quinton to find him already looking at me.
