i fell asleep worried about what my dad would think of quinton, he's always been a bit overprotective of me so i'm not sure his reaction will be ideal.
i woke up in quintons arms in bed and scrolled through tiktok until he woke up
quinton: good morning beautiful
cynthia: good morning beb
i kissed him
cynthia: we need to get ready to go to my dads house
quinton: oh yeah
cynthia: did you forget?
quinton: of course not, i'm just nervous
cynthia: awwww baby, don't be
i placed my head on his chest and hugged him tightly
quinton: what time are we supposed to be there by?
cynthia: in an hour and a half
quinton: ok, i'll get dressed
cynthia: ok me too
we got up and did our morning routine. i wore this

we all got dressed and ubered to my dads house. we arrived and knocked on the door
dad: hi cynthia, hi josh
cynthia: hi dad, we want you to meet quinton and nessa
nessa: hi, i'm nessa
quinton: hi, i'm quinton
dad: hey.... josh, are you dating nessa?
josh: yes i am
dad: and is quinton your friend cynthia?
cynthia: dad...
dad: i'm kidding, it's great to meet you quinton
quinton: likewise
we sat in the living room
dad: do you guys want something to eat or drink?
josh: no we're good
dad: ok, everything's in the kitchen in case
quinton: i see that your watching football, do you play?
dad: oh no, not anymore, i used to actually back in highschool but i think i'll pull a muscle now
quinton: your in perfect condition mr richards

dad: so quinton, do you play football? you seem interested
quinton: yes, i've been playing ever since i was a kid and back home, i'm on the same team as josh
josh: quintons ok i guess

cynthia: OKAY! that's enough football talk, dad how's your new job, mom told me you got hired at an insurance company?
dad: yes actually, it's going great, no complaints yet!
josh: do you like it better than your last company
dad: it's alright, not the same but i'm still getting used to things
cynthia: that's good to hear
we spent the rest of the day just talking and we went out to steakhouse for dinner. I think dad likes quinton, i guess i was just nervous for no reason. Dad also seemed happier, i think it's the new job.
