It was in the middle of third block and Kagome was talking to Miroku and Sango at their table.
She had explained to her friends about the letter she received from Kikyo, about what Inuyasha had done, about everything, for she felt she could trust them.
"What seriously?!" Sango said shocked.
"I think I've heard about this in the past, but I assumed it was a rumor," Miroku said.
"I hate to say it but, I don't believe what Kikyo said. Sure Inuyasha can be a jerk but, I don't think he would do any of that to her," Kagome sighed.
"It does seem out of character, especially since they grew so close," Miroku scratched his head.
Sango looked at Kagome and suddenly remembered,
"Oh Kagome!! Remember we have to babysit that kid I was talking about after school tomorrow!"
"Oh yeah that's right! Tomorrow is Friday, I guess time has gone by a bit fast this week!" Kagome stated.
The bell rang to go to lunch, as Miroku, Sango, and Kagome grabbed their bags and headed to the cafeteria.
"I'll meet you guys at the table!" Kagome smiled as she walked to their usual spot.
She laid out her lunch when she sees a guy pestering Kagura.
Kagome sat up and headed towards them.
"You said you would help me Kagura," he said a little loud.
"I don't care about that stupid thing you want, either way it's gone now!" Kagura told him.
"No it's not! I have a feeling it's still here!" he yelled at her, grabbing her sleeve.
Kagome kept walking ready to say something to him, when she sees Sesshomaru.
"Silence yourself." he spoke with a sharp glare.
"Ah Sesshomaru, looking for a fight so early in the year?" the man questioned.
Sesshomaru stood up straighter,
"I said silence Naraku."
"His name is Naraku?" Kagome said to herself.
Naraku turned away from Sesshomaru and to Kagome. His eyes widened with insecurity.
"That girl...she looks just like Kikyo. How can that be? Does she have what I desire?" Naraku thought.
Kagome was backing up slowly as Miroku and Sango were about to approach her. Naraku saw them and ran off.
"Hey Kagome! Sorry it took so long!" Sango apologized tapping her shoulder.
Kagome didn't respond.
"Hey? Are you okay Kagome?" Miroku asked.
"Oh um, yea! Let's go eat!" Kagome smiled walking away to the table.
"So his name was Naraku? He looked at me so strange...I was actually troubled by it," Kagome thought to herself.
Her train of thought was interrupted as someone slammed a lunch tray on the table in the seat next to her. It was Inuyasha.
"Inuyasha? You're sitting here?" Miroku asked.
"Yeah! Got a problem with it?" Inuyasha said insecurely.
"No no not at all!" he answered back.
Kagome smiled widely at him,
"I'm so glad you're eating with us!"
Inuyasha chomped on his bean bun silently with his face a little red and everyone else was chatting away. Time had passed and it was time for fourth block.
When they got there, someone was sitting in one of the auditorium seats up front, it was Naraku. He stood up slowly and walked towards the others.
"Why hello there Miss?" Naraku stared into Kagome's eyes.
Kagome backed up a little bit, and looked at the floor.
"Get the hell away from us Naraku," Miroku said sternly.
"Oh if it isn't the ladies man," he taunted.
"Miroku what's with this guy? Do you know him?" Sango asked.
"Yeah his name's Naraku, when I was a freshman he use to taunt me just as he is now," Miroku answered her.
"I'm so glad you remember me. But you forgot to tell them about your hand, or have you told them already?" Naraku asked him.
"Your hand? What's wrong with your hand?" Ayame asked.
Miroku looked at his hand and back up at Naraku,
"If I were you I'd get the hell out of here, you're not in this class.""If you will excuse me I must get to French class," Naraku snickered walking out of the auditorium.
"Miroku, what's wrong with your hand?" Kagome asked.
"It's nothing important, he was just... let's just grab a seat..." Miroku sighed sitting down with the others.
Class began and Mr. Jakotsu was giving instructions,
"Alright class, today we will start rehearsing our play 'Cinderella'!"
Inuyasha huffed and sank into his seat.
"Okay okay! I need the prince and Cinderella up first, we're going to practice the dance scene.
Kagome got up to the stage and stood on her toes, while Inuyasha didn't move an inch.
"Inuyasha! C'mon you're the prince!" The teacher smiled.
"Look I didn't even audition and not to mention I don't want to be the prince! And I don't wanna dance with her!" Inuyasha said rudely.
Kagome's face turned bright red as she stomped her feet on the ground,
"Get up here and dance with me!!"
"There is no way in hell I'm gonna dance!" Inuyasha scoffed.
Mr. Jakotsu walked down to him and drug him up on the stage.
"Now Mr. Inuyasha! Dance your cute ass off!" Mr. Jakotsu smiled.
Kagome and Inuyasha slowly danced awkwardly beside each other.
"Oh come on! You call this a ball dance?!" Mr. Jakotsu sighed.
He took their hands and touched them together, and pushed them closer.
"Now that's how you do it!"
Kagome and Inuyasha's face turned pink as they danced around on stage together. Kagome could feel everyone staring up at them.
Koga sneered at the two of them,
"That mutt face is not taking away MY woman!"
