Chapter 35: Alleyway?

Inuyasha arrived at Shippo's apartment with a heavy sigh. He rung the door bell as Mr. Kitsune answered.

"Oh hello there Inuyasha. Where is Kagome?" He asked.

"Kagome is sick so it's just me." Inuyasha said.

"I see. Well then, have a good time. Call me if there is any trouble." Mr. Kitsune said as he left the apartment.

Inuyasha sighed and threw his body into their recliner, turning on the tv. A common children's show came on and it peaked Shippo's interest

"Oh oh! I wanna watch this!" Shippo cheered pointing at the screen.

"This show is for babies," Inuyasha complained as he changed the channel.

"Hey I wanted to watch that!" Shippo whined.

Inuyasha rolled his eyes and kept switching through channels.

Shippo grew angry and leaped on Inuyasha's lap,

"There's no reason to be mean to me Inuyasha!"

Inuyasha sighed as he gave the remote to Shippo. The child smiled in delight as he hopped out of Inuyasha's way and changed the channel back. Inuyasha took out his phone and looked at Kagome's name and stared at it for awhile. He wanted to message her, to see if she was okay. Inuyasha closed his eyes and locked his phone, deciding not to.

"I don't wanna bother her," Inuyasha thought to himself.

He put his phone away and looked back up to see Shippo staring at him with a sly grin.

"Why don't you go ahead and text her already?" Shippo asked.

"T-text who?" Inuyasha stuttered.

"Oh c'mon Inuyasha, you know who I mean."

"Listen here you little runt, that's none of your business..." Inuyasha twitched.

"Hey! Kagome is my friend, it's totally my business," Shippo said sticking his tongue out at Inuyasha.

"I ain't texting her!" Inuyasha said.

"You're such a loser..." Shippo mumbled under his breath.

"What was that?!" Inuyasha grew angry.

He walked over to Shippo and pounded his head,

"Ow! That hurt!"

"It was supposed to," Inuyasha said.

Shippo rubbed the lump on his head,

"I wish Kagome was here, at least you're nicer with her around."

"It doesn't matter, just watch your stupid show!" Inuyasha yelled.

"Fine then!" Shippo frowned.

Inuyasha rested his head on his palm and huffed, trying to calm himself down. He couldn't help but debate whether he should text her or not.
