It was the next day and Kagome was already on the phone with Sango.

"So how have you been feeling?" Kagome asked her.

"I've been feeling pretty good actually! I should be back at school sometime this week!" Sango said excited through the phone.

"That's great Sango! I'm so happy for you!" Kagome replied to her.

"Well I gotta go, Kohaku made me breakfast," Sango happily said.

"Okay see ya!"

"Bye Kagome!"

They both hung up, as Kagome laid down on her bed and looked up at the ceiling.

"I'm so bored. I've already done all my homework and cleaned my room..." Kagome thought with a sigh.

Kagome walked downstairs and went to the fridge, looking for food to eat. She suddenly saw a note attached to the surface. Kagome un-taped it and opened it.

"Hello sweetie! We went to an indoor bathhouse! I was going to invite you but you seemed so tired and you looked so peaceful. I'll take you another time! We'll be back soon!"
-Love Mom.

"Gee, thanks for going without me!" Kagome sighed, wanting to go.

She decided to get changed and go outside to window shop for herself.

"Be good Buyo!" Kagome snapped still angry about the bathhouse.

She closed the door behind her and tapped her shoes against the steps, continuing to move along. Kagome hopped on her bike and rode away from her home.

"I know mom said she would make it up to me, but I just hope she doesn't forget," Kagome thought alone.

Kagome rode past the central park tree and remembered what had happened yesterday. For some reason she couldn't take her eyes off of it. She kept pedaling, but looked closer at the tree to see the heart that was carved into the bark. Kagome sort of frowned until she heard a yelp in front of her. She pushed back on her pedals, causing the bike to stop. It was Inuyasha and he was on the ground, a bike tread mark on his back.

"Oh gosh! Inuyasha!" Kagome was worried and threw her bike on the ground to aid to Inuyasha.

"Inuyasha are you okay?!" Kagome held his arm.

Inuyasha popped up and gave her an angry expression,
"Why the hell did you run me over with your bike?!"

She moved back up,
"Agh! I'm so sorry! You're not hurt are you?"

Inuyasha got up and dusted himself off,
"I'm fine, I'm fine!"

Kagome looked away from him,
"Where you heading? The tree?"

"Flower shop," Inuyasha bluntly answered.

"Oh I see."
Kagome said simply.

"You?"

"Window shopping."

An awkward tension built up as the two just looked at the ground.

"You wanna come with me?" Kagome asked.

"Today's not really a good day for me..." Inuyasha trailed off, his eyes filled with sorrow.

"What's wrong with you Inuyasha?" Kagome wondered for him.

"Don't worry about it, I'll see you at school tomorrow." Inuyasha said waving bye.

Kagome just stared out at him, she frowned and had tears in her eyes.

"Why am I crying...?" Kagome questioned.

She rubbed her eyes and hopped back on her bike. Kagome kept cycling until she reached the outlets.

Afterwards going through the stores she only bought a tee shirt and a ring, even though she said she was only browsing.

"Well there's no harm in buying something for myself every once in awhile," Kagome smiled as she kept riding her bike around.

Kagome decided to head home until she sees a little gift shop in the corner of the outlets. It was like it was drawing her in. She decided to park her bike in the bike parking and went inside, still holding her bags.

"Ah welcome young lady!" an old woman smiled at her.

"Hello!" Kagome greeted.

Kagome began to walk around the store and saw many figurines and statues inside that all seemed to be from the feudal era. There were samurai swords and historic bows. Kagome decided to look at some jewelry. Nothing seemed to catch her eye until she sees a certain necklace in a plastic bag.
It was marked

"Subjugation beads, $4.99"

They were purple beads with little sharp white ones scattered after every five.

"Um excuse me ma'am," Kagome tried getting her attention.

"Ah yes?"

"Is there any history on this necklace for sale?" Kagome asked with curiosity.

"Well young lady, fifty years ago a priestess fell in love with a half demon and wanted to control him, so she used these beads for...for uh...I can't remember the rest. Forgive me child," she explained.

Kagome stared at it in wonder and smiled widely,
"I wonder if this'll cheer Inuyasha up?"

Kagome slowly picked the necklace up and placed it on the counter,
"I'll take it!"

The old woman smiled and rung her up, putting the necklace in a little bag. She thanked her and went back outside, put her things in her basket and rode off back home.

"I can't wait to give this to him at school tomorrow!" Kagome grinned in excitement.

-The Next Day-

Kagome was in first block sitting alone because Sango was still sick. Kagome couldn't sit still, she was so excited that she was going to see Inuyasha next block. She decided to continue her biology work until the bell rang.
Kagome quickly went to her second block and took her seat in the back. She held the little bag with the necklace inside in her hands.

"I really hope this'll cheer him up!" Kagome said excitedly.

As time went by the bell rang and everyone was in class...except Inuyasha.

Kagome kept thinking to herself,
"Where is he? Where is he?"

She knew that he usually came in late but never this late. The class kept going as time passed by faster and faster.

Before she knew it she was in third block with Miroku. In a sulky mood.

"What's wrong Kagome?" Miroku asked her.

She dodged the question and asked him one herself,
"Where's Inuyasha today?"

Miroku just looked down, avoiding eye contact,
"With his mother..."

Kagome was confused and stared into Miroku's eyes. She knew something was definitely wrong.

"You should really see him after school," Miroku said.

"How am I gonna do that?" she questioned.

Miroku whipped out his phone and texted her,
"I sent you his address, just in case you don't see him while he's on the way."

Kagome nodded and looked out at the window,
"What's going on...?"
