Chapter 42: Onigumo?

It's been a couple weeks since the Thunder Brother's incident. Mr. Kitsune turned out to be okay and got a new job that didn't have to do with trading with criminals. In other news, Ayame was back on her feet and at school again. Second semester was slowly approaching, which meant their final play was even closer. Kagome was walking to fourth block and turned to see Inuyasha move closer to her.

"Since that day, he's been so close to me...but why?" Kagome thought to herself.

As they all entered fourth block, Mr. Jakotsu was helping each student practice their lines for their final semester play. It was hard to believe that 2nd quarter had arrived so quickly.

"I can't believe I got the lead role!" Sango smiled.

"And neither can I...that makes us a couple now right?" Miroku slyly grinned.

"As if," Sango blushed.

"But Kagome, why didn't you try out?" Miroku asked.

"I thought it was time someone else got a role," Kagome grinned.

"Reasonable I suppose," Miroku said.

"I'm just glad it's our last one," Inuyasha rolled his eyes.

"Oh come on now, I like doing the plays and skits for theater," Kagome said.

"I guess," Inuyasha blushed.

"This play will be wonderful!" Mr. Jakotsu cheered with glee.

Naraku was walking casually in town, staying low and out of the lime light. He was in deep thought, wondering where he could hide once more since Kohaku gave away their hang out.

"There's always the other side of town but, it's out of the way and will cause more problems..." Naraku slowly thought to himself.

Naraku kept trotting along until he stopped in his tracks to see Kikyo once again in town. He quickly flew past her and kept his head low.

They passed by each other and Naraku picked up his speed.

"I will deal with you when the time is right."

He turned the corner, feeling as though he had avoided her. Little did he know, she was following him.

"This man, I know him for sure. I must find out who he really is," Kikyo said to herself.

Naraku turned slightly to see that Kikyo was calmly following him, trying her best not to look suspicious in his eyes.

"That wench, she's following me. I assume she wants to confront me," Naraku thought.

Kikyo finally spoke up,

"You."

Naraku slowly turned around,

"Yes?"

"Just who are you? And why do you have pieces of a jewel that doesn't belong to you?" Kikyo asked him.

"What? It's just like that Kagome girl," Naraku questioned himself in shock.

"Answer me."
