Chapter 28: Stuck?

"Well did you?" Sango asked her again.

"To be honest...I don't even remember," Kagome sweat dropped.

Sango sighed in disappointment,
"How do you not remember?!"

"Um..."

Their conversation was interrupted when Kagome's mom had called Kagome on her cellphone.

"Hello?" Kagome answered.

"Kagome. I left to go drop off Shippo and his father then come back and get you. But..." her mom trailed off as a loud cracking noise was in the background.

"M-mom?" Kagome tried to speak through the static.

"I'm...coming...stay..." That's all Kagome could hear through the phone.

"Mom..? Hello?" Kagome tried again.

She suddenly heard her Mom screech through the phone, along with her grandpa and Sota.

"Mom! You guys!" Kagome had shouted in the phone.

Sango turned, hearing Kagome yell,
"Kagome what's going on?"

Kagome tried her hardest to focus and try to hear for a word, any word from her mother on the phone.

There was a brief pause.

"Kagome...?" she heard her mom through the phone.

"Mom! What happened?" Kagome questioned.

"Kagome...I'm so sorry I startled you. A tree...a tree just crashed in front of us, there's no way I can get to the school," her mom explained.

"Don't worry mom, if I have to I'll... go to meet you or something!" Kagome assured.

"No it's too dangerous out here," Her mother explained.

"Hold on mom, Mr. Jakotsu is trying to say something," Kagome said.

Mr. Jakotsu stood on the stage calling all the students in. Some were done changing, others were not.

"Listen up everyone!" He shouted.
"I just got a news report that a tree has blocked the entrance to the school. Please call your parents and see if you can stay here with me and another teacher tonight. We are trying to keep all of you safe!"

"What?! There ain't no way in hell I'm staying here!" Inuyasha scoffed.

Ayame peered out one of the windows,
"It's raining pretty hard out there..."

"How are we supposed to get food?" Kanna asked calmly.

"We're gonna die!" Hojo exclaimed.

"Everyone please calm down! There is food in my office in case of these emergencies!" The other teacher Mrs. Janis said.

Miroku clicked his flashlight on,
"Can anything be done about the power?"

Mr. Jakotsu shook his head.

"Oh great, stuck in a building in the middle of a storm with no power and mutt face over here," Koga said directing his gaze to Inuyasha.

"What?! Did you just call me a mutt face?!" Inuyasha growled.

Koga chuckled,
"Problem?"

Inuyasha pushed his sleeve up,
"Come at me ya stupid scrawny boy!"

"Bring it on then!"

Inuyasha rushed towards Koga, his hand formed into a fist, before he could even hit him Kagome ran in.

"Inuyasha! Sit Boy!" Kagome shouted at the very last minute.
