The next morning Kagome was laying on the couch while the tv was on. She was putting all of her focus on her cellphone. Kagome kept going back and forth, locking and unlocking it. She was waiting for a text from Inuyasha.
"Maybe he's not that concerned about me after all," Kagome sighed alone.
Kagome's mom walked back into the living room and felt her daughter's head,
"Oh my, you're still warm. I'll go get you some more water..."
Her mom picked up Kagome's empty glass and carried it to the kitchen to refill it. She looked over and saw that Kagome was staring out into space.
"Kagome dear are you alright?" Mrs. Higurashi asked her.
"Oh yea mom I'm okay," Kagome said.
Her mom put down her full glass of new water and kissed Kagome's forehead, leaving the living room to go do chores.
Kagome heard a buzz from her phone and immediately picked it up.
"Inuyasha?!" she hoped in her mind.
She looked at the name and saw that it was Miroku.
"Hey Kagome. I know you don't want visitors but Sango and I were thinking about coming over during our lunch to see you. How does that sound?" Miroku's message read.
Kagome thought about it a little and responded,
"Sure thing. It would really keep me company."
Kagome smiled lightly as Miroku texted back,
"Okay then it's settled! See you then."
"I cant wait to see my friends again! Well it's only been a couple days but it feels like forever," Kagome thought to herself.
Meanwhile Inuyasha was skipping school today once again at home. He had a group of bags piled and stacked up on the counter. He threw in some ingredients I'm a lot and stirred it around.
"Thanks to Mr. Kitsune I can finally get going on this!" Inuyasha grinned.
It was now lunch time and Kagome was waiting eagerly for Miroku and Sango to show up. She heard a knock at the door and opened it. There stood Miroku and Sango with a bouqet of flowers and little take outs in their hands.
"It's been awhile," Miroku said.
"Yea definitely," Kagome agreed.
