The curtain slowly opened as it revealed an all black and white scenery. The crowd started to clap, knowing the play was about to begin.
"Welcome one and all to my last play of the semester. I wrote this one myself, and I'm so proud of my students for making my dreams come true. I hope you all enjoy!"
The crowd clapped once again as the light dimmed around them and focused on the stage. The lights revealed a monochromatic detectives office. On the wall was a "Most Wanted" list which had one flyer stuck to it. Right beside it was his evidence wall, full of pictures and scribbled notes. Miroku appeared as the young and handsome detective in the bright stage lights. He looked at his board of photographs, looking at different people who were wanted by the government. A knock was heard at his door.
"Come in," the Detective quietly spoke.
A young woman restlessly walked into his office. The smooth detective turns around and faces the woman.
"May I help you?" Miroku asked.
The woman stepped closer,
"I need your skills detective."He turned around,
"Aw Miss Sango, it's a pleasure. I'm surprised you're not with your husband."Sango wore a dark pink dress with a warm brown coat and hat. Her diamond earrings from her husband had sparkled in the beaming light.
She rolled her eyes at him,
"My husband never pays attention to me, why would I be with him? It was nothing short of an arranged marriage. But...""But?" Miroku smirked.
"I do have a smidgen of care for him. He has been disappearing in and out of the house as of late, I want to know if he is in trouble."
"Anything else suspicious? And at what time does he disappear throughout the day?" Detective Miroku spoke, taking out his notepad.
Sango sighed, gathering her thoughts for a moment.
"Between six and nine at night. He comes home shaky, like he has someone watching him. He won't tell me what's wrong, he just says he was working late. However, I called his secretary during that time period and he had already left his office."
"I see...and why not entrust a richer and more powerful detective instead of me? Surely you can afford it."
Sango sighed and looked him in the eyes,
"Because I know you can do this better than anyone else available. You're the greatest detective around, just look at your board, there is only one criminal photo pinned to it."Miroku shook his head,
"And yet he is the most dangerous."Sango looked over at the photo, his hair as white as the moon, his eyes as yellow as the beaming sun.
"What is his name? I don't recognize him..." Sango mumbled.
"Let's not worry about him right now, we need to look for your husband." Miroku said, changing the subject.
Sango agreed.
"Take me to your estate," Miroku demanded.
Miroku left his run down office, following Sango out of the building. Miroku stood on the side of the road and lifted his hand up, calling for a taxi. The fog grew deeper as Miroku stood there waiting in silence, while Sango drifted her eyes down at the ground. The moon peaked through the puffy clouds in the night sky. Miroku finally got a taxi and hopped inside with Sango.
-The curtain closes to change scenes-
The sound of sweeping was heard as the curtains reopened to Sango's estate and her maid cleaning the halls. The inside of the estate had a light pink color for the walls and shiny tile floorings. The accents of the house like three door and the columns were all white to match the floor. The maid turned to see Miroku and Sango walk in.
"Miss Sango, welcome home."
