Kagome analyzed her double closely, confused on how this could be happening.
"This is weird..." Kagome thought softly.
The girl just looked at Kagome, continuing to wash her hands.
"Um, what's your name?" Kagome asked steadily.
"My name is Kikyo," she simply answered.
Kagome smiled lightly,
"I'm Kagome."
Kikyo grabbed some paper towels and dried her hands. Kikyo's long black hair swayed back and forth as she approached Kagome.
"Why do we look alike?" the mysterious girl asked.
"I'm not really sure," Kagome answered.
"I don't know why, but that girl is very strange in my eyes. It's like we share a soul, or as if we are connected in some way," Kikyo thought.
Kagome twiddled her thumbs behind her back, feeling awkward.
Kikyo started to exit the bathroom, turning around she closed her eyes and slightly bowed,
"Goodbye." she spoke softly.
Kagome was so confused, she looked in the mirror and fixed her hair quickly and checked her face for any imperfections, while thinking to herself.
"Could it be possible that we are related somehow? After all, you don't just meet someone who looks like you often. I felt like I was looking at my own reflection when I saw her. I'll just have to ask my Mom and Grandpa about her."
Kagome started to head back to Mr. Hosenki's class. She came back through the door seeing Sango and Miroku talking to each other.
"Oh hey Kagome! What took you so long?" Sango asked her.
Kagome paused briefly and finally answered,
"Oh I had trouble finding the bathroom," lying.
Miroku raised one eyebrow, taking his phone out getting a text.
He read it quickly responding to it.
"Who was it?" Sango asked.
"Oh one of my friends named Inuyasha," he answered.
Kagome's eyes widened as she heard the name,
"You know Inuyasha?!"
Miroku formed a puzzled look on his face,
"Yes do you know him?"
"Well sorta," Kagome sighed.
"Who is this Inuyasha fellow?" Sango asked.
"He's one of my friends. Quite weird looking actually, he has silver hair yellow like eyes. He can be rude too," Miroku described.
"That's defiantly the same guy I met today," Kagome thought to herself.
Mr. Hosenki hopped up from his chair and stood in front of the class.
"The lunch bell is about to ring, so get your stuff together. Lunch lasts about an hour," he said going back to his phone.
People were packing up, getting ready to transition to lunch. Kagome takes out her cell phone and asked for Sango and Miroku's number, dialing it into her contacts. Students started lining up in front of the door with their bags on their backs, except for Kagome.
"Oh man, where is it, where is it?!" she panicked, shuffling through her backpack.
"What's wrong Kagome?" Miroku asked.
"I think I left my lunch box in Mrs. Taisho's class..." Kagome said with a blank face.
"Oh man not her," he responded.
The bell rang as everyone was going out the door.
"Kagome we'll meet you in the lunch room while you go to get your bag," Sango said going with Miroku to the cafeteria.
Kagome sighed, picking up her bag and going to Mrs. Taisho's room next door. Kagome walked through the door and went to the back, looking for her lunch.
"Well well, if it isn't Mrs. Higurashi," Mrs. Taisho said, tapping her long fingernails against her desk.
"Looking for something," Mrs. Taisho continued.
Kagome stood stiffly,
"My lunch box."
"Oh your lunch box? Yes that's in the lost and found. I thought you would mention, this!" the teacher slammed a piece of paper on the desk showing it to Kagome. It was her math syllabus.
"S-sorry!" she apologized.
Mrs. Taisho huffed pointing to the door, a sign for her to leave.
Kagome ran out the door heading towards the front office to the lost and found box. She grabbed her lunch and rushed to make it to the cafeteria. She briefly looked down at the floor seeing something in the corner of her eye. Kagome was curious and ran towards it, picking the object up.
"What is this thing? It looks like a necklace," she thought alone.
The necklace had a purple looking jewel that shined with a thousand stars. The string had sharp, white, shells around it. One of the shells had the engraving 'shikon' on it.
"What should I do with it?"
Kagome walked slowly back towards the office to put the necklace in the lost and found box, when she started to think.
"Maybe I will keep it for the rest of the day, in case someone sees it on me, they can have it back!"
Kagome decided to keep the necklace and started heading towards the cafeteria.
"Hey you!"
Kagome turned to see a boy behind her.
"Who is that?" she thought, seeing the boy running at a high speed through the hallway towards her.
