It was the next day and Kagome wasn't at school again. Sango had texted her this morning as she explained that she was going to go see a doctor.
"I sure hope she's okay," Sango sighed as she put her phone away for class.
Kagome was in the car up front as her mom drove her to the nearest clinic.
"How are you feeling sweetie?" her mom asked her.
"The same...maybe worse..." Kagome trailed off.
"Well we're almost there," her mom said.
Meanwhile, Inuyasha was wide awake, but not at school. He stood in his kitchen boiling water and cutting things up, putting them in a pot.
"I know this will make her feel better! I don't care how long it takes to make it!" Inuyasha said to himself.
Inuyasha suddenly smelled smoke as he turned around to see the stove burners were catching on fire.
"What the hell?!" Inuyasha shouted as he took the pot off the burners, slightly burining the tips of his fingers.
"Gah!" Inuyasha winced as he looked in the pot and saw everything was burnt and ruined.
"Dammit just great..." he sighed.
Inuyasha quickly turned, hearing footsteps behind him. Out came Sesshomaru still in his boxers.
"What the hell are you doing here?" Sesshomaru asked.
"Me?! What about you?!" Inuyasha asked back.
"I do not have to answer to you halfbreed. Just keep it down, I'm trying to sleep." Sesshomaru said sternly as he headed back to his room to try and fall back asleep.
Inuyasha furrowed his brows as he angrily looked in his pot full of burnt ingredients.
"Just great...I don't have enough money to get more. And there ain't no way I'm asking that prick Sesshomaru for more!" He thought to himself.
"Hmmm what if I..."
Meanwhile at the doctors office Kagome sat on the high bed and the doctor was writing in her notepad.
"Well Kagome I hate to say this but, you have a bad case of the flu," the doctor said.
"Oh my! Will she be okay?" Mrs. Higurashi worried.
"She should be fine. Just make sure she drinks plenty of fluids and gets plenty of rest," the doctor explained.
"How long will it last?" Kagome questioned.
"About a week. No school for you," the doctor ordered as the Higurashi's left the clinic.
"Mom what am I gonna do?! All my classes and-" Kagome panicked until her mom stopped her.
"Kagome, your health is much more important than school. Please, for me and the rest of your friends, stay home and get better for them," her mom said.
Kagome's eyes grew as she looked at her mother and smiled,
"Okay!"
