During theater Miroku and Kagome practiced their lines together, since the others weren't around.
"I don't understand why I couldn't be the prince, I have the looks to pull it off," Miroku shook his head.
Kagome laughed a little, she couldn't take her mind off of Inuyasha.
Mr. Jakotsu clapped his hands getting everyone's attention,
"Okay! Okay everyone! The bell is about to ring so let's make it short! We only have one more month to prepare for this play so please get your lines memorized and your costumes!"With that the bell rang and everyone left the room. Miroku and Kagome walked out together.
"Miroku. Won't you go with me?" Kagome asked him.
"I'm sorry I have to take care of my family's shrine today."
"You have a shrine Miroku!?" Kagome questioned with shock.
"Yep, I thought you knew? Well anyways, good luck!" Miroku said running away with a wave.
"Wait Miro-" Kagome was going to stop him, but he couldn't hear her.
She looked down at the text Miroku sent her.
"Inuyasha..." She softly said under her breath.
Kagome went walking into town and followed the address until she sees him in the corner of her eye. He had a big bouquet of white flowers and a picture frame in his hands. She started to follow him in curiosity. Inuyasha walked past the tree and past Kagome's house. It seemed he was going towards a Church on the outskirts of town. Inuyasha gripped the flowers tighter as he approached it. He was entering the cemetery on the side. Kagome held her breath as she walked behind him. She stepped on a twig and Inuyasha's ears twitched.
Inuyasha quickly turned,
"What the hell are you doing here?!"Kagome stopped in her steps,
"I uh..."Kagome couldn't get her words out. Her heart was beating hard and fast.
"I don't have to tell you any damn thing! Leave me alone!" Inuyasha cried, he clenched his fist.
"Stop yelling at me when I wanna help!" she shouted back at him.
They both paused and stared at each other. Nobody could move or say a word. Kagome focused on the breeze going through her hair as she directed her gaze away from him.
"I'm sorry. Its none of my business. I'll turn around and leave if you want me to. I shouldn't be butting in like this anyway..." Kagome said.
Kagome started to turn around, her eyes full of regret. She suddenly stops, feeling a tug on her arm. Inuyasha was holding her hand. Kagome's eyes widened as he gripped her hand tighter.
Inuyasha blushed a little,
"No...wait."Kagome was shocked, and turned to face him.
Inuyasha nudged his head and had her follow him. They both walked closer to the Church. The exterior was stacked in gray stone with beautiful window art and a long steeple with a cross on top. Kagome stayed silent as she followed Inuyasha.
"You said you wanted to meet my mom..."
Inuyasha went through the graveyard entrance and that's when she realized...
"This is her," Inuyasha sighed.
He stopped in front of a gravestone, and laid the flowers and picture frame down. Inside the frame was a picture of his deceased mother, she had long black hair and brown eyes, a big smile across her face. Kagome was stunned and couldn't move.
