Chapter 41: Thunder Brothers?

Shippo ran as fast as he could back to Miroku's shrine, hoping that Inuyasha was still there. Shippo kept going until he saw Inuyasha walking along the sidewalk.

"Inuyasha!" Shippo called.

Inuyasha turned slightly to see Shippo heading towards him. His eyes were full of fear and worry as he approached Inuyasha.

"Shippo, what's wrong?, Inuyasha asked him.

"They- they took her..." Shippo wheezed.

"Took who? What's going on?"

"Kagome...Kagome was taken away by the Thunder Broth-" Shippo was interupted as Inuyasha grabbed his shirt and lifted him up.

"Where is she?!" Inuyasha yelled.

"I remember where they are now, or at least I think I do... c'mon!" Shippo said, hopping down from Inuyasha's grasp.

Inuyasha gritted his teeth as Shippo lead the way,
"Don't worry Kagome, I'll be there!"

Not knowing that Inuyasha was on his way to rescue her, Kagome continued to struggle and try and fight back against them.

"Quit squirming girl! We're going to make you pay for messing with the Thunder Brothers!" Manten told her.

"What am I going to do...wait, I got it!" Kagome thought to herself.

Hiten had walked out of the shadows and sat next to his brother.

"Are you sure you would want me? After all, I know somebody who is coming to rescue me," Kagome lightly mentioned.

"Who would rescue you? That little brat that disappeared?"

"No he's super strong, he could beat you to a pulp!" Kagome said.

"Enough of this," Hiten said.

Kagome turned away knowing that she would regret this,
"He has several more jewel shards than you."

They both turned.

"He'll come to rescue me," Kagome said.

The brothers looked at eachother,
"Is that so? Why?"

"Because...because..." Kagome froze.

"Cause why?" Hiten asked.

"Because...he loves me!" Kagome blushed saying it aloud.

"Oh so your his woman then?" Manten asked her.

"Th-that's right! I am Inuyasha's one true love and you can't just separate us like this. He will certainly come for me over any jewel shards!" Kagome acted.

"Well then, I look forward to seeing this 'Inuyasha'." Hiten smirked.

Inuyasha and Shippo continued running.

"Shippo, I thought you said you didn't know where they were?" Inuyasha asked him.

"I remembered. My dad only mentioned it once and said it was only if it was an absolute emergency." Shippo answered.

Inuyasha looked ahead and saw something sparkling on the sidewalk. They both stopped and looked down to see it was Kagome's shards in a bottle.

"That's Kagome's!" Shippo announced, picking it up.

"She must've dropped it, Let's keep going!" Inuyasha said.

"Right!" Shippo grinned.

"Kagome. This is all my fault...I should've walked you home, none of this would have happened if had just gotten over myself...Kagome I-" Inuyasha's thoughts were interrupted as Shippo paused and looked at a building.
