After school that same day Kagome, Inuyasha, and Miroku walked outside together.

So Inuyasha, you'll be with us alot more now huh?" Miroku elbowed him.

"Yea I guess so," Inuyasha said.

Kagome looked down at her phone and saw a text from Sango,
"Ugh! Kagome! I was getting better and now I'm feeling bad again! When am I gonna get better?!"

Kagome frowned lightly and replied,
"I'm so sorry Sango! When I get the chance I'll come and visit you "

"Sango still sick?" Miroku asked.

"Yea she said she's starting to feel bad again. She probably won't be back at school again this week..." Kagome sighed.

"Man that sucks," Inuyasha said bluntly.

Miroku turned his head,
"I should head home."

"See ya," Inuyasha waved.

"Later Miroku!" Kagome smiled.

Kagome and Inuyasha walked their usual way back home from school. Kagome stepped over the cracks on the sidewalk, her eyes focused forward. Inuyasha kept looking ahead his arms crossed behind his back.

"So about the jewel..." Inuyasha trailed off until Kagome interrupted him.

"That's all your going to talk about from now on, isn't it?" Kagome said lightly still not looking at him.

Inuyasha blushed a little,
"N-no! I just wanna know how this is gonna work."

Kagome stopped in place and faced him,
"I honestly don't know. I guess we'll put it back together at least."

Inuyasha nodded and sighed continuing to walk.

Meanwhile with Miroku...
-
Miroku had finally made it home and went inside. He dropped his bag on the floor and walked into a room seeing someone sitting out on the porch, drinking sake.

"Miroku is that you?" he hiccupped.

"Yes Master Mushin," Miroku replied.

"Ah good."

"Drinking again?" Miroku asked him.

Mushin didn't reply as he took another sip.

"Figures..." Miroku rolled his eyes.

"Miroku." Mushin called.

"Yes?"

"Some man was here awhile ago looking for you," he told him.

"A man? Who?" asked Miroku.

"Didn't ask..." he answered.

"Of course..." Miroku sighed to himself.

Miroku went outside and went straight to starting his chores. First was sweeping the steps.

"Who could've wanted to see me? Could it have been..."

"Me." a voice said above his head.

Miroku looked up and paused the movement of his broom.

"You...Naraku," Miroku glared.

"Little monk, how's the hand?" Naraku snickered.

"Silence yourself!" Miroku said angrily.

"Hit a nerve did I?" Naraku questioned.

Miroku gritted his teeth,
"Just because you know about my family's condition, gives you no right to show up on my doorstep."

"Suit yourself," Naraku said walking down the steps.

Miroku continued his sweeping until Naraku turned his head to look back at him.

"You're life will soon come to an end with that. It's incurable."

Miroku's eyes widened as Naraku went down the steps and left his sight.

"Damn you Naraku."

He kept sweeping until he heard something fall down a step. He peered down to see a shard. Miroku looked at it in wonder and examined it.

"How interesting." Miroku said to himself, stuffing it in his pocket.

- With Inuyasha and Kagome -

Inuyasha had kept walking as she turned to face him.

"We should go out!"

Inuyasha was caught off guard and froze in place,
"G-g-go out?!"

"Yea like get a present for Sango?" Kagome suggested.

"Oh...phew! Sure thing," Inuyasha said

"What did you think I meant??" Kagome questioned.

He didn't answer as her cheeks started to turn pink.

"Oh! He thought I meant...oh gosh," Kagome thought with a flustered look on her face.

As they both went to the outlets that were close by, Kagome went back to the antique shop and looked around inside. Inuyasha had his hands stuffed in his pocket as he browsed through the aisles.

"Hey did you hear the news?" a girl asked her friend.

Inuyasha started to eavesdrop out of boredom.

"What news do you mean Fumiko?" he friend asked her back.

"That Kikyo girl is coming back to school again...I heard she's back in town," Fumiko whispered.

Inuyasha's ears twitched and his eyes only widened.

"K-kikyo?" Inuyasha wondered.

"Really?! Wow. I thought she moved away?" she gossiped.

"Me too! I guess she wanted to come back?" Fumiko assumed.

The two girls left the little shop and Inuyasha was stunned to hear of such a thing. Kikyo?

"It has to be a rumor," Inuyasha shook his head.

"Besides..." Inuyasha looked over at Kagome smiling at the knick-knacks on the shelf.

"I shouldn't leave her by herself."

Kagome picked up a ribbon and inspected it carefully,
"You think she would like this?" Kagome asked Inuyasha.

"Heck if I know. I'm not a girl," Inuyasha answered bluntly.

Kagome pouted lightly as she was about to set the ribbon down until Inuyasha stopped her.

"I mean...I'm sure she'll like it!" Inuyasha said.

Kagome suddenly perked up with a smile,
"Thank you Inuyasha."

He looked away from her, trying to hide his blush.

After they checked out they were on the way back to Kagome's place. Kagome exhaled and looked up at the sky.

"I do hope she likes it," Kagome worried.

"Don't be stupid! She'll love it," Inuyasha said to her.

There was a pause as Kagome spoke up,
"I'm sure you heard those girls in there right?"

Inuyasha stiffened up,
"Heard what?"

"Kikyo."

Inuyasha sat there in silence.

"Sorry. I should head home. See you tomorrow at school," Kagome said walking away from him to her front door.

Inuyasha waved at her, his mind in deep thought.

"Could Kikyo...really be back?" he asked himself.

Kagome looked at her phone to see a text from Mr. Kitsune, Shippo's father.

"Would you mind babysitting Shippo Saturday Night? It would be much appreciated ☺."

Kagome texted back,
"Sure thing! We'd be happy too !!"

She then forwarded the text to Inuyasha.

"When they mentioned Kikyo he acted as though he didn't know what I was talking about. Does he still have feelings for her??" Kagome asked herself with a slight frown.
