Inuyasha walked Kagome home and got his jacket back from Kagome. Kagome blushed and thanked him for giving it to her.

"What time do I need to come by tonight?" Inuyasha asked.

Kagome looked up at him,
"What are you talking about?"

"The babysitting thing tonight! What time do you want me to come by so I can walk with you," he said with a pink shade to his cheeks.

"Oh uh, I think Sango said 6:00?" Kagome said twiddling her thumbs.

"Alright then, see ya..." Inuyasha said.

"Wait Inuyasha!" she called out to him.

He turned to face her, lifting his jacket collar up.

"You should really take this umbrella," she insisted.

"Nah, don't worry about it," he simply said walking away in the rain.

Kagome stood there in a gaze, slowly putting the umbrella outside her door. She went through the door into her home and went upstairs to her room. She grabbed her hairbrush and started brushing her hair as she thought alone to herself in front of her mirror.

"Why did my heart beat so fast by the tree with him? I mean it's not like I would like him, he's too big of a jerk."

She suddenly stopped and remembered him giving her his jacket, holding his hand, sitting under the tree with him, and offering to help her babysit.

"Maybe he isn't as bad as I th-" her thoughts were interrupted from her phone buzzing on her vanity.

She received a text from Miroku.

It read,
"Hey Kagome, school was canceled today, thought you might wanna know. My power is currently out right now, I'm heading to Sango's place to take care of her. Come along if you'd like "

"I don't trust him being alone with her," she mumbled slightly. She suddenly had an idea.
"I'll bring her a homemade lunch!"

Kagome went to her kitchen and grabbed some ingredients, cutting vegetables and grilling the meat. She put it in a container and wrapped in a silky cloth.

"Mom! I'm heading to Sango's house!" Kagome called.

"Okay honey! Please be careful!" her mom yelled back.

Kagome went out the door once again and grabbed her umbrella, walking around the corner and planning to head to Sango's. After she received the address she headed out.

"On the way now with lunch." Kagome texted Miroku.

She walked in the rain, her umbrella up high, blocking the rain from hitting her head. Kagome took a short cut and saw the tree that her and Inuyasha were under earlier today.

"I think that'll be our special tree," Kagome concluded with a smile.

A few minutes later she found Sango's house and knocked on the door.

A man opened it, "Oh you must be Kagome, please come in!"

Kagome entered slowly admiring Sango's home. The furniture was all dusted and clean. The walls were a warm brown color.

"Sango is upstairs in bed waiting for you," her father said handing Kagome a mask to cover her nose and mouth.

Kagome walked upstairs and heard Sango coughing, opening her door. Sango turned towards her and tried to smile, but just kept coughing.

"Morning Kagome..." she managed to get out.

"Oh Sango! You poor thing! How do you feel?" Kagome asked in concern putting her homemade lunch beside her on the bed.

"Is, is this for me Kagome?" Sango asked weakly.

"Yea, I was hoping it would cheer you up or something," Kagome smiled through her mask.

A boy interrupted them, walking into Sango's room,
"Hey Sango, here is your warm towel," he said.

"Thank you Kohaku," Sango grinned, putting the towel on her head.

"Who is this?" Kagome asked.

"Oh how rude of me, this is my little brother Kohaku," Sango said opening the lunch that was made for her.

"B-brother?! I never knew! Well hi I'm Kagome, it's so nice to meet you!" Kagome giggled slightly.

Kohaku bowed and walked out of the room.

Kagome looked around the room confused,
"Hey Sango, where is Miroku?"

"He said he would be here as soon as he uh..." Sango dropped off and blushed madly.

"As soon as he what?"

"As soon as he picks up a gift for me..." Sango turned away to hide her pink face.

"Aw! That's so cute!" Kagome said with a sweet tune in her voice.

"Sh-shut up!!" Sango said embarrassed.

There was a sudden knock coming from the bedroom door and Kagome went to go answer it. She opened the door to see Miroku smiling widely as usual,

"Hello my dears!" Miroku joked.

"Oh hi Miroku!" Kagome greeted.

Sango kept eating the food Kagome brought her, when Miroku dropped a bag by her bedside.

"I know it's not much, but I tried to find stuff that you would like," Miroku said with a slight blush.

Sango picked up the bag to find a white, soft teddy bear with a little heart on it's cheek. Sango held it tighter in her arms.

"Is...is it okay? I hope I chose correctly, I didn't really know if you were into chocolate or animals or something diff-" Miroku was interrupted as Sango looked at him a little teary eyed.

"I love it!" she said with a big smile.

"I wish they would just get together already," Kagome thought to herself.

Kagome heard a slap and saw a hand mark on Miroku's face.

"Don't touch my ass! What a time to pick to do so!" Sango yelled at him choking up with a cough.

"Yea it's not going to happen anytime soon. Especially if he's gonna keep doing that..." Kagome sighed.

The door creaked open and Sango's father peeked through,
"I'm off to work."

"Bye dad!" Sango waved.

He left and drove away in the rain.

"Where does he work Sango?" Miroku asked, the hand print still on his cheek.

"He's a bug exterminator, he wants my brother and I to take over, or more like we are expected to carry on his business, but it's not my thing," Sango answered her head now under the sheets.

They all kept talking, laughing and enjoying the lunch Kagome brought together as time flew by, it was still raining.

Kagome looked over at the clock and jumped up from her seat.
"Oh no! I gotta go!"

Kagome waved bye to her friends and grabbed her umbrella outside.

"It's past six o'clock! Inuyasha is supposed to be picking me up to babysit!"

Kagome kept running faster and faster, racing against the clock to make it in time. When she reached her door, she burst through to find Inuyasha watching TV on her sofa, waiting for her.

"He waited for me?" Kagome thought surprised.

"Took ya long enough, let's head out," Inuyasha said grabbing her hand.

The two went outside and Kagome opened up her umbrella, both of them sharing it together. They both were curious, for it was both of their first times babysitting. Little did they know what they were getting into...
