Max/Sadie imagines

All in.

You and Max are in a strange relationship thing. If you can even call it that.

It's a little on and off. You're dating and then you're not. And it confuses you. So much.

You've been confused since this whole thing started.

Thing about Max is, she's all close and cuddly for like a week and then she completely ghosts you for like 2 weeks.

It's enough to break somebody's brain.

You've asked El what she thinks you both are. She's clueless.

As are Mike, Dustin, Will and Lucas.

Today, you plan on asking her. She's stood at your locker.

Apparently it's on week.

You have a schedule for your 'relationship' with Max.

On for one week.
Off for two weeks.

You walk over. She spots you and smiles. You smile.

"Can we talk? In private?" You ask.

Her face drops.

"Dont worry, it's nothing bad. I just need to clear something up." You say.

She nods.

"Okay."

You take her hand and pull her to the girls bathroom. You check every stall and then lock the actual door.

"Y/n you're freakin me out a little." Max says.

"Sorry. I'm just- I'm a little freaked myself. If I'm being honest."

"Hey it's okay. Whatever you need to clear up, it's okay."

You nod.

"What are we?"

"Humans." Max says.

You facepalm.

"I mean us. Our relationship thing. What are we? Are we dating? Aren't we? Because I'm confused. We're on one week then off for two. I just need to know if it's all in or all out. At this point i have a schedule." You say.

Max has been dreading this for weeks.

She sighs and shrugs.

"I'm scared Y/n." Max says.

You now feel bad.

"Why are you scared?"

"To come out. I'm scared of you."

You frown.

"W-I-You- why are you scared of me?" You ask.

"Because I'm terrified- scrap that. I'm petrified that you'll find someone else. Someone better and I've been giving you that time. To do it. Which is why we're on and off. I gave you two weeks to start off with to find someone better. When you didn't, i felt happy and then went back to us. But then my anxiety set in and that's what the whole 'on and off' thing is all about. I just-"

She sighs.

"Hey, look at me."

She looks at you.

"Not ever ever ever ever will i choose anybody else. Wanna know why?"

Max nods.

"Because, and i mean this, i love you. That sounds bizarre but i love you and i wouldn't choose anybody else." You say.

Max smiles a little. You both share a hug, a tight hug. You both stay in silence while hugging. Neither of you wanna interrupt it.

But, you both have lessons.

"Before i go to lessons, are we all in or all out?" You ask.

She places a kiss on your lips.

"All in." Max says.

You smile.

"All in." You repeat.
