Coffee shop after a break up

You and Sadie have broken up. About 3 weeks ago. It was a whole issue. A very very big argument and she told you straight.

"Get out of the house and never come back. We're done."

And those words shattered your heart into a million pieces. You started the argument but it wasn't supposed to go that far. It was mainly just a pick up on something that she said a few weeks prior to the argument.

And it just happened. And she said it. And now you're here. Sat in a coffee shop getting over a serious hangover. You've been getting hammered out of your head ever since it happened. And now, you're hammered out of your mind getting over it.

"Here you go Y/n. This is on me. You need to eat." Sofia, the barista, says putting a plate of food in front of you.

"I'm not hungry."

"Y/n, hun, you need to eat. I know you're hurting over Sadie but you need to eat. You cant shut down forever." Sofia says.

"I'm not hungry and i dont need your opinion on whether or not I'm hurting. My head hurts. I'm tired and my heart isn't getting any better."

Sofia takes your hand into hers. You look up at her.

"I'm sorry." You say.

"I know. Just at least try to eat some of the food." Sofia says, putting a fork next to you.

You nod and take the fork. Whike Sofia takes care of another customer, you just pick at the eggs. You eat a little of it. Sofia is your best friend and has been since you were born.

Anyway.

She puts another cup of coffee next to your plate. You eat about half of it before Sofia knows you're not gunna eat anymore.

"You done with that?" Sofia asks.

You nod.

"Yeah... I'm sorry." You say.

"Hey dont apologise. You ate some of it and that's all that matters. At least you ate." Sofia says.

She takes the plate and you just sit there with your head in your hands. You check what time it is on your phone and you get met by a photo of you and Sadie from when you first met. About 4 years ago. You both look so happy in that picture. You feel your eyes tearing up.

You turn off your phone and put your head in your hands. Your tears fall freely down your face. You just want her back. She's the love of your life and will forever remain that way.

The door opens and someone walks in. The person sits next to you and takes a deep breath.

"Y/n?"

"What."

You look at the person.

"Sadie?"

She nods.

"How are you?" You ask.

"I've been better. What about you? You dont look like you're doing too great." Sadie says.

"I'm not. My life sucks. I'm depressed. I'm basically an alcoholic and i lost the love of my life." You say.

She lets out a soft sigh.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have brought it up. If i didn't bring it up we wouldn't be in this-"

"Dont apologise Y/n. This is on me. I shouldn't have broken up with you. I dont even have a reason. No amount of excuses would cut it. No matter how hard i try." Sadie says.

You stay silent. You look down at the coffee in front of you, tears spilling down your face again.

"Hey." She says.

You look at her. She cups your face and wipes away the tears from your face. You smile softly at her. She smiles softly back. She pulls your hands away from your face and puts them on her legs.

"Y/n I'm so sorry. I know it's my fault you're this down." She says.

"I just.... why'd you do it?" You ask.

"I have no excuse. I just... i just said it and I've never regretted anything more in my entire life. I'm so sorry." Sadie says.

"I... i really miss us. More than anything." You say.

"Do you... maybe wanna try us again?" Sadie asks.

You nod.

"Yeah.. i really would." You say.

"I promise you, what happened before wont happen again. I really love you and i just hope that i haven't fucked up too bad." Sadie says.

"You haven't fucked up. I've just been struggling is all. But we have each other back so lets just think of it as an end to a pointless argument." You say.

She nods, smiling a little bit. You both hug and soon enough, everything went back to normal.

Thoughts? I watched Ted about an hour ago. It's such a funny fuckin film. I love that movie. Byeeeee :)
