Falling out before the final battle

You and Max are dating. But things have been really on edge because of everything with the mindflayer. And you've been really on edge because you always get like this when shit happens.

But you've been getting really snappy lately. And right now, you're stood arguing with Max.

"Y/n just breathe-"

"Look! If i could just breathe, i fucking would! But in case you didn't know, Max, there's a motherfucking monster gunna destroy all of Hawkins! And i dont deal well under pressure of having to SAVE A WHOLE CITY!"

She stays quiet.

"I have to go."

You walk off and she just sits on her bed.

A few weeks pass and you're all in star court mall.

"Y/n grab something!" Mike says.

"What do you want me to fucking grab?! THE CAR?!"

"I dont know! Just go grab something! To STOP MY GIRLFRIEND FROM BLEEDING OUT!" Mike yells.

"THERE'S NOTHING TO FUCKING GRAB MIKE!"

"Y/n there's a clothes shop. Go grab a shirt from one of them shops." Will says.

You run off to the shop and grab a shirt. You put it on the spot on her leg and apply pressure.

"Ow!"

"Y/n go steady." Max says.

"I dont see you doing this." You say to her.

"Do any of you know where it could be?" Will asks.

"I can feel it." El says.

"Where is it?" You ask.

"Not far." El says.

Max grabs your arm. The others notice this. You look at Max and give her a reassuring look then you look back to El.

"How far? Just so we have a general idea and so we know how long we have to prepare." You say.

"El!"

You all turn and see Hopper, Joyce and some random guy. Hopper, Joyce and the guy walks over to you all and you all just look at them. You make a plan. A fantastic plan to fuck up the flayer.

You all then just sit. You go to the car and start fishing out some parts of the car. Max walks up to you.

"Y/n?"

You just hum and continue fishing parts of the car out.

"Y/n I'm scared." She says.

You stay quiet. The ground begins rumbling. You look up. You all do.

"I think it's time we need to follow through with this plan!" You say.

"Yeah. Lets go! Hopper, Joyce, lets go!" The guy says.

You all go over to them.

"Whatever your plan is for your job, you need to get it started right now!" You yell.

"Yeah. I agree! Lets go!" Hopper says.

He hugs El and Joyce hugs will and Jonathan. They then go and you all start sorting out your final parts to your plan.

"Dustin! C'mere!"

He goes to you.

"What?"

"Help me get some shit out of this car. It might be useful."

"No time." El says.

You look at her.

"It's here"

"Everybody find a place to hide and stay there." You say.
