New kid

Max, Mike, Lucas, Dustin, El and Will are stood at their lockers looking the new kid.

"She's so pretty." Dustin says.

Lucas swats his head.

"Um ow." Dustin says.

"No more cuddles." Lucas says.

They all laugh. The new kid looks at the group and smiles a little. Max looks over at the new kid. They maintain eye contact for a few seconds before the new kid shuts her locker and walks away.

*btw, Lucas and Dustin are dating. Mike and Will are dating. El doesn't date. Max is single*

In form, the club are sat waiting to head to their first class of the day. The door opens and everyone looks.

"Ah. You must be the new girl. Like to introduce yourself?"

"I'm Y/n Y/l/n. I used to live in Northern Ireland but for some reason we moved here." The girl says with a slightly thick irish accent.

"We've never had an Irish person here before. So welcome. Uh... take a seat next to Max. Max where are you?"

Max raises a hand. The girl walks over and sits next to her.

"Hi. I'm Max."

They shake hands. At lunch, Y/n is sat with Will, Mike, Max, Lucas, Dustin and El. They're all asking questions.

"So what's it like in Ireland?" Mike asks, pretending to be Irish.

Will swats him around the back of the head.

"That's rude Mike." Will scolds.

"It's okay. Ireland is very very cold." Y/n says.

"So are you into guys or girls?" Lucas asks.

Dustin hits Lucas.

"Why are you asking questions like this?" Max asks.

"It's curiosity." Lucas says.

"If you dont wanna answer that you dont have to." El says.

Y/n nods.

"I'm more into girls." Y/n says.

El glances at Max with a cheeky look on her face. Max kicks El.

"So how old are you?" Max asks.

"14. 15 in a few days. I'm guessing you guys are 14." Y/n says.

They all nod. After school, Yn goes to the arcade. She plays on game. Dig Dug. She takes over the score of both Dustin and Max. Her name is 'irishpower'. So they'll know exactly who it'll be.

The club walk in 15 minutes later while Y/n is stood at pacman. Max goes to Dig Dug.

"You have got to be shitting me!" Max exclaims.

Y/n smirks.

"What's up?" Mike asks.

"Some shitbird took my highschore!" Max says.

"Lemme see." Mike says.

He goes to the machine and laughs.

"No. Fucking. Way." He says.

They look at the name.

"Irishpower?" Max asks.

Mike and Max look around. Y/n dies in pacman.

"Son of a fucknut!"

They look at Y/n and smile.

"She overtook your highschore." Mike says.

Max swats him. Y/n goes home. When Y/n gets home, she changes, grabs her guitar and sits on her bed. She sits crisscross applesauce and starts to play some random song she picked up on earlier.

While playing, she hears tapping on her window. She ignores it the best she can. Until it gets to be very very annoying. She puts her guitar down and goes to the window. She opens her curtains and lifts her window. She pokes her head out the window.

"Hello?" She calls out.

Max is hidden behind a tree. For some reason.

"Who the fuck was throwing stones at my window?" Y/n asks, a little agitated.

"It was me."

Max walks out from behind the tree.

"Stalker much. You follow me home?" Y/n asks.

"I'm not a stalker. It was Mike's idea. But he's not here." Max says.

Y/n sits on her window ledge.

"So why are you at my house? It's like 10pm right now."

Max shrugs.

"Mike told me to come talk to you. Oh and why'd you take over my highschore?" Max asks.

"It wasn't intentional. I've never played pacman before."

"You beat my highscore on pacman?!"

"What game were you talking about?" Y/n asks.

"Digdug." Max says.

"Ohhh. Yeah digdug is fun. But i beat your highscore on pacman." Y/n states.

"Damn it. But you coming with us to the arcade tomorrow?" Max asks.

"Yeah. I should be able to." Y/n says.

Max smiles and then Y/n smiles.

"See you later new kid." Max asks.

"See you later. Stalker." Y/n says.

"I am not a stalker."

Y/n chuckles. Max climbs onto her bike and cycles away. Y/n closes her window and sits back on her bed. She grabs her guitar, smiles and keeps playing. She looks forward to a friendship with Max.
