Interrupted in an interview

You, Millie, Sadie, Finn, Noah, Caleb and Gaten are in an interview together. You're sat behind the others alone. Only just in shot of the camera. The interviewer doesn't actually like you. You do know this. Which is why you're at the back and only just in shot.

"So, Sadie and Y/n. Max and Ella's relationship. Best friends immediately in season 2. Even closer in season 3 and dating at the end of season 3. What happened with that?" He asks.

"Well, the idea was mine. Cos i thought that both characters needed a serious development. Y/n's character sucked in season 1 and Max was a loner at the start of season 2. So we came together and went to the directors before they even started filming cos we knew that Max was gunna be the way she was. So we figured it would've nice for that to happen." Max says.

"Yeah i mean i didn't actually know that we were gunna do it but i mean it was a great idea-"

"Yeah so Millie. I wanna know what you think about a development for Robin's character." He says.

You itch the back of your neck and just take a deep breath. Everyone frowns but nobody says anything. You dont care to be honest. It's just rude. You check your phone and see a tweet.

So am i the only one who knows that this interviewer that's interviewing them today doesn't actually like Y/n? He's so fucking rude towards her.

"Caleb, Y/n. There was a fight for Max's character almost wasn't there?" He asks.

"Yeah." You and Caleb says.

"Who's idea was that? Was it Y/n's?" He asks.

You roll your eyes and shake your head.

"Nope it was me. I thought it would've been great to add into the 3rd season. All the crazy shit and it almost drove Ella and Lucas to killing one another. It was a nice touch." Caleb says.

"Oh yeah totally. Beautiful touch. It just shows how stressful times lead some people to almost killing people."

You roll your eyes and let out a quiet sigh.

"Y/n can i just ask something?" He asks.

"Mhmm. Go for it." You say, trying to sound calm.

"So when you and Sadie went to the Duffer Brothers with the idea, what was on your mind?" He asks.

You frown.

"What do you mean? Can you explain it a bit better please?" You ask.

He rolls his eyes a little.

"Like when you went to the Duffer brothers, what were you thinking? Did you think they'd agree? Or did you think they'd turn the idea down?"

"Oh. Well i did kinda figured they'd turn the idea down and-"

"Why?" He asks, interrupting you.

"Cos it's an 80's tv show and i figured that maybe people might not be too happy about it-"

"Yeah. Noah. What are your thoughts on Y/n's character? Personally she's not my favourite." He says.

You roll your eyes and let out a quiet but deep breath.

"I love Ella. She's iconic. Character development is amazing. She's Will's best friend. And both characters confide in each other. They both came out to each other in season 3. So i love her." Noah says.

He just nods.

"Finn. What about you?"

"Well, Mike and Ella dont really get along. But i think she's amazing. She's funny as hell. I think Mike wants to be friends with her but i think he'd be too scared to do it. She's funny. And smart." Finn says.

"Can i just ask why you dont like Y/n's character?" Sadie asks, sounding a little frustrated.

You lean forward.

"Take a breath. I'm not bothered." You whisper.

"Well, honestly, she's always bugged me. Ella not Y/n. She was a shitty character in season one-"

He goes off on a long winded rant and you just sit there. He lets slip that he doesn't like you. But doesn't make it obvious.

"-i just dont like her at all. She's toxic and i hate toxic people. They're not good people-"

You know he thinks you're toxic. They dont. You shake your head and roll your eyes. He finishes his rant. Which does actually sway them all. Which then puts a thought in your head.

'What if he says the same things about you? Would they sway then?'

The interview finishes and you just leave.

"Hey, Y/n!" Sadie calls after you.

You go into your trailer and slam the door shut behind you. You lock it and just sit down. 5 minutes later, the interview goes up. 15 minutes and Twitter are blowing up about it.

So i wasn't the only one who noticed it. He hates Y/n and then somehow managed to sway the others opinions towards Ella Sweetman (Y/n's character) and i hate it. He's such a dickhead. Something needs sorting about him.

You put your phone down and lay down fully on the sofa in your trailer.

"Y/n?" Noah asks.

"Go away."

"Y/n let us in please." Sadie says.

"No! No i wont let you in!" You yell.

Millie picks your lock and they all walk in.

"Will you guys go the fuck away!"

"Y/n what the hell happened in that interview?" Gaten asks.

"Dont act like you didn't fucking see how that guy was treating me! And he somehow magically swayed you guys opinions towards my fucking character and all i thought was 'what if he manages to convince them to hate me too' and i cannot fucking be on a show with main characters who hate me! Not possible!"

"Y/n we dont hate you." Sadie says.

"Yeah. Alright. But none of you like Ella. Who i put all my fucking energy into." You say.

They stay quiet.

"Mhmm. Yeah. Go away. All of you go away!"

"Y/n come on. We-"

"What?! You dont hate me?! You dont hate my character?! Go away! I dont care!"

They notice the tears in your eyes. Sadie walks over and hugs you. Then the others do too.

"Y/n we dont hate you. We dont hate Ella either. Because we know how much energy you put into becoming her. That guy is an asshole and he's putting thoughts into your head that should not be there. We're gunna talk to someone about no longer having him interviewing us." Sadie says.

"I'm sorry for yelling at you all." You say.

"Dont worry Y/n. He's a prick. We're not having him anymore." Noah says.

They eventually have you fully calmed and you all just sit and watch movies. Sadie, because she's your girlfriend in real life thanks to Stranger Things, sits snuggled up into your side.
