Stumbling over her words part 2

She knocks on your door and you open it. You smile a little.

"Hey." You say.

"Hey." She says.

You let her in and shut the door behind her. You lock it and you both stand there.

"Are you ready?" You ask.

"Yeah. I just... i need a few seconds to just breathe before i tell you it all." Sadie says.

"Yeah that's okay. Take as long as you need." You say.

A few minutes later and she's ready to tell you. She takes a deep breath and nods.

"I dont get nervous because of the interviews. It's you. It's always been you."

You look at her and nod, which tells her to continue.

"You make me so nervous because i.... like... i like you and i just.... i dont want to seem like an idiot around you so i try to hard to find the right words to say but i just cant i always end up stumbling over my words. No matter how hard i try. I cant help but find you so attractive and i love sitting with you in interviews but i just couldn't do it today because i just wanted to be able to think without every thought flying around my head being you. Every thought is followed by 'i wonder what Y/n would think about this' and that's why i end up fumbling over my words in every single sentence when I'm around you. You never do anything to warrant it. You just happen to be there and i just cant help but want to impress you with everything i say. Because i really really like you. I want you to think i know what I'm talking about when i open my mouth because i guess i want to impress you when i talk. You have no idea what I'd give for just that. Even that. I feel like I'm crazy sometimes. It's not even right because i know for a 100% fact that you dont like me back." Sadie says.

"What makes you so certain that i dont like you back?" You ask.

"I've seen how you look at Maya. Or even Natalia." Sadie says.

"And you dont see how i look at you?" You ask.

"How do you look at me?" Sadie asks.

"Like you're the only girl in the world. Jesus. I'm always looking at you. You never see those videos on TikTok we both get tagged in? Maya and Natalia are like sisters to me. I would never go for either of them. I've only ever looked at you like that cos I've only ever looked at you. That's probably why you get so nervous cos I'm always looking at you. I'll only ever look at you like that. I mean who wouldn't? Look at you. You're fucking gorgeous Sades." You say.

She goes red.

"In case you couldn't tell, i like you back. I was just wondering if maybe you'd like to go out on a date with me some time." You say.

She smiles a little and nods.

"Yeah. Yeah I'd like that." Sadie says.

You smile.

"How about, for now, we go cuddle. Like we used to like a year ago." You suggest.

"Sounds nice." Sadie says.

You and Sadie go into your bedroom and go cuddle in your bed. You both look forward to the date for when it comes.
