More than friends

You and your best friend Max are sat reading comics in her bedroom. Max has been acting a little off recently. More than usual in Hawkins anyway.

"Okay, talk to me. Whats goin on?"

She looks at you with a frown on her face.

"What?"

"You've been acting really off recently and it's confusing. You never leave my side. You're basically ghosting everybody else. You can talk to me about stuff. What's going on? Did they do something that upset you? Cos i dont mind hurting some people."

She smiles and shakes her head.

"Then what is it? Cos the others are starting to notice. They're all really worried. And I'm worried too." You say.

"I like you Y/n. Like alot. And that sounds insane cos it's wrong but i cant help it. I mean it's literally you. You're amazing. I dont wanna rant about all the things i like about you because i dont wanna come across as all weird. But i really do like you. Which is why I've been spending pretty much all my time with you recently." Max says.

You smile.

"You like me?" You ask.

She nods.

"Well that's actually pretty good because i like you too."

"You do?"

You nod. She smiles and bites her lip.

"Okay, I'm not gunna do what those cliche movie characters do and kiss you cos you might not be ready which is totally cool. So, how about we just go downstairs and cuddle while watching some movies. My brother is out of the house. So we have the tv to ourselves." You offer.

She nods.

"I like that idea." Max says.

You smile. You both pick a few movies and go downstairs. You bring pillows and the duvet downstairs. You put the movie into the tv and once you've sorted it out, you lay down on the sofa.

You put a pillow behind your head. You put another pillow on your stomach and Max lays down. She moves the covers over you both.

She smiles and gets comfortable. While watching the movie, she moves up a little and you warp your arms around her and she smiles.

A few minutes later, you're both fast asleep on the sofa.
