You play softball. You play in the centre field. You're the team captain. You tend to frequently get hurt when you play. But it's never anything serious.
Max likes to watch you practice. She's always at your games. Just watching you intently. You're dating by the way. Been together for 6 months.
Well right now, you're practicing for the upcoming game. Max is sat watching you practice. While you practice, someone hits the ball and it flies out and smacks you in the face. Right in the nose. But the pace bursts your nose. Your nose starts bleeding profusely. You throw it back and everyone gathers around you.
Max walks over with a bunch of tissues and holds them on your nose.
"You okay?" Max asks.
"Yeah. It hurts a little. But I'm alright." You say.
"Let me take you to the hospital." Max says.
You nod. She helps you stand up. She walks you out of the school and to the hospital. You both just sit and wait. She sits with her head on your shoulder.
"How're you feeling?" Max asks.
"Well it hurts a lot more now. The adrenaline has cooled off and I'm just in pain." You say.
Max places a kiss on your cheek and you smile. After a very very long time of waiting, you finally get seen. They acknowledge that your nose is in face broken and do what they can. They then send you home.
Max takes you home and decides to stay. She lays in your bed next to you. She lays her head on your shoulder. You wrap your arm around her waist and you both just cuddle while watching some show on the TV.
