"I'm here for you, please believe me"

Your POV

"Y/n i dont know what you think but it's completely wrong. There's nothing there between us anymore. I get that we had our thing the last 2 years but thats it. There's nothing there." Max says, walking off.

I have to admit, that kinda stung a little. Play it off.

"Max that is the least of my worries right now." I say, walking after her.

I jog up to her and stand in front of her. Causing her to stop abruptly.

"Max you're not at all listening to what I'm saying. What happened between us is the least of my worries. I'm worried about you. You've shut me out since he died and you're not talking to anybody about anything." I say.

"Y/n I'm fine." She says.

"But you're not though. You shut me out. And if that's what you need to do then that's what you need to do. But you need to talk to someone. Be it me or anybody else. But i need you to believe me. I'm here for you, please believe me." I say.

She looks like she almost believes me. She just walks past me. I sigh and sit next to Steves car.

I lay my head back on the door.

"Y/n."

I look up at Steve.

"Keep trying. I saw her face. You're getting through to her." He says.

I just nod. I think i zoned because i come back to hear Steve yelling to me.

"Y/N!!!"

I jump up and look at Steve. I run over and slip over my feet. I kneel down in front of Max.

"What's happening?" I ask.

The panic soon sets in with all of us. We start rushing around. Dustin rushes over with her bag.

"What is that gunna do?" I ask.

"What's her favourite song?" He asks, grabbing her CD player and headphones.

"It's not in there."

I run over to Steve's car and grab my bag. It's supposed to be a birthday present but no time better than now.

I grab the CD from my bag and run over. I grab the player and put the CD in. Steve puts the headphones over her head and i press play. We all sit back, just hoping things work.

I stand up as she starts floating.

"Max!"

I grab her legs before she floats off. But she just keeps rising.

"Grab me!"

Steve grabs me.

"Pull!"

They pull but it just doesn't work. I wind up losing grip and we all fall.

I hit my head on Billy's tomb and feel a massive cut spawn on the back of my head. Which then starts bleeding but i could genuinely care less.

"MAX WAKE UP!" We all start yelling.

And then she falls. I grab her and fall with her. Her breathing is heavy, she's panicking, her grip on my arms tight. My arms wrapped around her.

"You're okay. You're okay." I say, trying to calm her down.

I look at Steve.

"Start the goddamn car." I say.

He nods. He goes and starts the car. Lucas and Dustin grabs her stuff.

"We're gunna go to Steve's car. Do you feel like you can walk?" I ask.

"I-I....I don't..."

"It's okay. It's okay. I'll carry you." I say.
