Running from detention together

You and Max are sat in class together. You're in class friends. You dont talk or hang out outside the classes you have together but you might as well be best friends in the class. Neither of you mind. Makes the lesson go faster.

As of right now, neither of you are doing any work at all. Just talking. The teacher is getting frustrated and he walks over. He bangs his hands down on the table. You both sit unfazed and look at him.

"You two are in detention tonight. After school until you finish your work." He says.

After school, you're both at your locker just talking. The teacher is stood looking at you both.

"Put your bag in my locker." You say.

"Why yours?" Max asks.

"Cos you're is 3/4 of the way down the hall. Too far to look normal. Trust me." You say.

She nods and puts her bag in your locker. You put yours in too.

"What now?" Max asks.

"Empty your pockets into my locker. You're gunna need empty pockets for what I'm gunna suggest." You say.

So she does. She empties her pockets into your locker. You do the same and then close your locker.

"How fast can you run?" You ask.

"Pretty fast. Why?" Max asks.

"Cos we're not doing this detention. I know somewhere nobody else knows. If you can run fast enough we can both get there before he can get to us." You say.

"Sounds good to me. Lead the way." Max says.

"Hey you two! Get over here!"

"Nah! Run now."

You both start running. The teacher runs after you both. You both run a lot faster to this spot. Max slips through the gap and you also slip through the gap. You close the gap and the teacher runs past.

"And just like that, we have escaped." You whisper.

"Damn. You're pretty good." She whispers.

"I come here all the time. It's literally the most secret place in the entire building. I come here all the time." You say.

"This is where you disappear off to all the time then." Max says.

"Yup. It's why I'm pretty much always late." You say.

She smiles. After 15 minutes of talking, she looks at you in the eyes. You frown a little. She takes a deep breath and pulls you into a kiss. Which takes you very much by surprise. But, you do kiss back. She pulls back and you both stand looking at each other.

"I'm gunna be honest i like you. Mike and El have been trying to convince me to tell you since October." Max says.

"October? You've liked me since October?" You ask.

She nods. You cant help but smile a little.

"I've liked you since November. You win." You say.

She laughs a little.

"So considering we dont know a lot about each other, would you like to go on a date with me?" You ask.

"When and where?" Max asks.

"How about, tonight at Scoops Ahoy. I know Robin who works there. She's my cousin." You say.

"I know Steve who works there." Max says.

"The dumbass with the weird haircut?" You say.

"Yeah that's him." Max says.

"He's a little annoying but he's alright. Does that sound good though?" You ask.

"Yeah. Lets get our stuff back and go." Max says.

You both sneak back to your locker and grab your stuff. You both then leave to Scoops Ahoy. After about 6 Scoops Ahoy dates, you finally gained the confidence to ask her to be your girlfriend. To which she said yeah. All happy endings.

Thoughts? Might have covid 🙃. Mum and dad have covid but i dont have it yet. Haven't had it yet but. Dont think i have it. I'm good! Hope yall liked this one though! Byeee :)
