Something Sentimental

"Mommy, talaga bang pupunta tayo ng Isla de Gigantes with tito Damien?" Kuryosidad ni Sky habang binibihisan ko siya. Kakatapos lang kasi niyang maligo kaya binibihisan ko na siya. "Kasi Mommy, bakit si Tito Damien? Why can't it be Daddy Yael? I missed Daddy so much." Nanlumo siya.

Hindi ako makasagot. Nakaramdam ako ng panghihinayang sa kaloob-looban ko. I felt like, if I'll speak out, her world is going to collapse and I don't want that to happen. I can't explain it clearly to her, baka hindi ko maipaliwanag nang mabuti ang gusto kong ipunto sa kaniya. Para, sa'kin ang mga usapin na ito ay para sa mga matatanda na may malawak na kaisipan. Eventhough she's a kid with full of understanding- She's still too young to force herself understand everything that a young mind can't do.

"Kasi Baby," pinaupo ko si Skynette sa kandungan ko. "Mommy and Tito Damien are together. That's why Tito Damien and I, couldn't seperate with each other. Diba, I already explained to you, that Daddy Yhael and I- are just friends, right?" May pag-aalinlangan sa boses ko. Eventhough I already explained to her everything- I felt like there's still something lacking.

"Mommy, all throughout the years- friends lang po ba talaga kayo ni Daddy Yhael? Daddy and you, we're been together, happily. Bakit Mommy? Daddy loves so much, but you couldn't accepted his love because- you wanted someone's love, rather than Daddy's love." She escaped from my hug. Umupo siya mismo sa harapan ko, nakayuko at nakakuyom ang mga kamao.

I sighed heavily. I understand her- The seperation of me and Yhael made a great impact to her. Yhael's right, Skynette is not a little girl anymore who can be trick with sweets and toys. But she's already a young girl, who can digest everything that's happening around her. Kumbaga, mayroon na siyang isip- marunong na siyang mag-obserba ng mga bagay-bagay sa paligid niya.

And then my role is to guide her- I should kill be the one, responsible, in killing her curiosity by giving her a deeper knowledge about everything what's happening.

"Yes, Daddy Yhael and I are been together but- Mommy isn't happy. You know that, baby? Besides, masaya rin naman ako kay Daddy Yhael mo," I smiled, it's the way how can I show her the definition of what I am saying. "Yeah, I did loved your Daddy Yhael- But my love for him is not that enough. Compared to your Tito Damien, I did fully loved love him- to the point that I'm giving him the love that I'm lacking with myself."

Sinabi ko sa 'yon sa mahinang boses, nagbabasakali na maiintindihan niya ang lahat ng mga 'yon.

I'm not hoping, I'm more like assuring- that she could understand everything.

"Mommy- I loved you. You can choose your happiness, Mommy- and I know that, that's tito Damien." There's an acceptance in Skynette's voice.

Umiwas ng mga titig sa'kin si Sky. She's pouting her lips and playing with her little nails- She was waiting for something. I smiled. Without having second thoughts, I immediately gave her a tight hug.

"I love you, Mommy." Skynette's cute voice makes me wanted to hug her more.

"But baby, can I requested something?" Humiwalay ako ng yakap sa kaniya at masinsinan siyang tinitigan sa mga mata.

"What's that, Mommy?" She asked.

"Can you please call tito Damien- your Daddy too?" I asked her, hopeful.

Skynette smiled. "Sure, Mommy!" She said with so much excitement. Mariin niya pa akong niyakap.

"Kanina pa kami nag-iintay dito. Siguro, nambabae ka muna bago ka pumunta dito, no?" Sabi ko kay Damien habang naglalagay ng seatbelt.
