Langas pov:

I sat on the railing and drank some water. Reki ran over with a big smile "I did it! That was awesome! Did you see how high I got?" I nodded and pulled his headband off. His fluffy hair fell into his eyes and I slipped it around my neck. Reki looked at me and pushed on my chest. "You always ruin the moment." He pressed on my legs to stop me from falling and I jumped down "Not always." I grabbed my board and looked back at him. "You look better with your hair down, don't you think?" He came after me and tackled me onto the ground. "I hate you." He pinned my arms down and I held back my smile. "Youre just jealous I can skate better than you." I whispered and he held my wrist tighter. I broke and a smile drew across my face. I loved using that to rile him up. "Youre so mean Langa." He whined and he fell back onto my legs.

I sat up and untied his headband. "Here." I held out the soft fabric towards him and he pushed my hand away. "Keep it." I looked at it my hands and smiled to myself "Really?" He sat up and scooted off my legs. The sunset hit his face "let's add something to our handshake." We did our usual handshake and I put my hand up like a high-five. He followed and put my fingers inbetween his. His fingers were thin and frail, but had cuts and bruises all over them. I looked at him and he had brush drawn along his cheeks. I sat up and kept our hands together. "Reki." I said and he looked up. "What?" I touched his face gently and kissed his cheek. "I think that's a good addition to the handshake." I pulled away and grabbed my board, standing up. I looked back  and skated away. "Are you coming?" He stumbled up and tried to catch up to me. I skated faster and smiled as we raced to his house. I picked my board up and grabbed his hand as he went by. I stopped his board and he wobbled slightly. The bushes shielded us from his mom and I kissed him gently.

My hair brushed against my face and I slowly pulled away. He had a shocked look on his face and he wiped his mouth. "Youre coming 'S' right?" He nodded and I looked at the ground. "Bye." I smiled and reki got off his board. "Wait, the handshake." He walked after me and we repeated what we did earlier. I held his hand and kissed his cheek. "Goodnight reki." I said quietly and he felt weak in my hand. "God would you shut up." He mumbled and turned into a red mess. "Reki~" I teased and he hit my chest. "I hate you." He took a few steps back and waved softly before disappearing into his yard.
