Homecoming

I stood off to the side with reki and pushed my hair behind my ears. Everyone started leaving and I turned to him. "Hey, uh my moms probably here to pick me up." He smiled softly and nodded. "Oh okay." He pushed his hair out of his eyes and I glanced at the small bits of eyeliner he put on his eyelids. "You look really nice." I said under my breath and his face turned the color of his hair. "Thank you," he muttered and looked away from me.

I smiled and chewed at the inside of my mouth. I reached out and fixed his hair for him. He glanced at me and I watched the faint freckles on his face. "Can we go somewhere for a second?" I asked and he froze up a little. He finally nodded and I hesitated but grabbed his hand leading him into the quiet back hallway. I looked in his eyes and my face heated up. "I-" I stopped and he pushed his back. "What?" He laughed nervously and looked off to the side.

I leaned down and placed a soft kiss on his cheek. "I have to go." I whispered and let go of his hand. He looked at me and nodded quickly. "Yeah, okay." I lingered and looked at the shimmer on the top of his nose. He glanced away and quickly kissed my cheek back. "Now leave." He pushed me away and I smiled. "You look really pretty." I said and he put his head down. "Shut up." I laughed softly and he stopped pushing me.

He let out a sigh and wrapped his arms around me. "Thank you." He mumbled into my shoulder and I had the biggest smile on my face. I bit my lip to hold it back and hugged him back. He lifted his head and I opened my eyes. He looked at me and I touched the side of his face. He angled his chin up and pressed his lips together. "Isn't your mom supposed to be here?" He asked and I stared at his lips. "She can wait a minute." He blushed and let his hand drop off my back.

"I think I'm going to head home." He said quietly and took a step back, rubbing his eye gently. "Goodnight." He smiled softly and I smiled back. "Night reki." I walked him out and opened the car door for him. "Oh wait reki, you dropped something." I leaned down and he followed me. "What?" "I like you, reki, I want to talk about this later." I whispered and he sat up, clearing his thought. "Oh oh- um okay! Thank you." He quickly shut the door and I slid my hands into my pockets, watching the car drive away. I smiled to myself and called my mom, trying to find out where she was.

I sat in my room the next day, texting reki and I nervous bit my nails. I called him and he took a moment to pick up. "Why are you calling me, weirdo?" He laughed softly and I played with my necklace. "I wanted to hear your voice." I smiled to myself and looked to the side, staring at my wall. He let out a soft breath and he seemed kind of flustered. "Youre such a dork."

I stopped myself from biting my nail and I fixed my hair. "Well you heard it, I'm hanging up now." "Wait no-" I stopped and he stayed on the phone, waiting patiently. "I also wanted to ask you something." I started and he hummed softly in response. "What do you think about- well I don't know...we already talk so I don't think you could really call it that- but-" He cut me off and giggled softly. "Are you asking me out or something?" He said and I hummed in agreement.

"Well not really but yes- just not yet." Reki sighed and he moved around. "Can I come over and get another kiss?" He whispered after a few moments and I sat up, holding my legs to my chest. "Uh yes- please." He laughed softly and I joined in. "Just come up to my window, my mom has her guy friend over." I noticed I was biting my nails and he let out another breath. "Alright, I'll- uh- yeah." I laughed at him under my breath. "I'll see you in a minute." He agreed and hung up. I snuck out my window and sat down, waiting for him to appear in the sidewalk.

I saw him turn the corner and I hurried over to him. He smiled and huddled in his jacket. "Oh my god, your hairs such a mess." I laughed softly and he looked in my eyes. "I was about to go to bed, don't start." I smiled and combed my hair through his hair. "I think you look handsome." I joked and he scrunched his nose up. "Shut up." He pushed me back and I stuffed my hands in my pockets. It got quiet and I looked in his eyes. "So...do I get my kiss now?" He smiled and nodded slowly.

"But I have some conditions." He grabbed my hands and leaned close to me. "First of all, your not allowed to break my heart." I nodded and held his hands tight. "Secondly, I don't want to be all lovey dovey in public." I smiled and leaned in closer, our noses bumping together. "Are there any other conditions?" I whispered and our lips brushed against one another's. He nodded and backed away slowly. "Don't you dare ask me out, I'll ask you out when I'm ready." I nodded and took my hand out of his, placing it on the side of his neck.

My fingertips sat comfortably in his hair and he relaxed in my hands. I let out a soft breath and our lips pressed together. He backed away and I looked in his eyes. "Are you alright?" I asked and he nodded, wiping his mouth with his sleeve. "I forgot to breath and felt like I was dying." I laughed and picked his chin up, kissing him again. He made a soft noise and grabbed onto my arms, eventually kissing me back. I smiled and bit his bottom lip very lightly.

He moved his hands to the side of my face and I placed a soft pecks all over his lips. I pulled back and he looked at me with messy hair all in his eyes. He froze and I pushed his hair back. "So are we just talking?" I asked and he shrugged softly. "Don't force me into any decisions." He mumbled and I smiled. "I should get back inside. Get home safe, alright?" He nodded and I lingered, not wanting to take my hand off of his warm face.

"Yeah, I'll try not to get mugged on my 3 minute walk." He laughed softly and touched my hand, taking it off his face. "Goodnight." He said and slowly let go of my hand. I searched his eyes and ruffled his frizzy hair up. "Good night, cutie."

But all jokes aside, sorry I kinda just disappeared, my schedule got busy with school and practice but im going to get better about uploading stories.
