The boy

I held rekis hand as we talked down the street. I pulled him to a little shop and ordered some lunch. The girl at the counter tapped at the machine and then looked up. "You two are so cute." She said and I smiled to myself. Reki squeezed my hand and she set our food on the counter.

"Chicken for the lady and pork for the gentleman." Rekis hand fell out of mine and he grabbed his food, looking at the ground. I payed and followed him. "Hey it's okay." I said and rubbed his back. "Wow, that feels good." He said sarcastically and I leaned over, looking at his face. "Reki...don't think about it too much. If it makes you feel better I think you're a very handsome boy." 

He smiled at me and I put my arm around his waist. "I'm sorry." I whispered and leaned my head on his shoulder. He looked over and kissed my forehead. "Langa, really it's okay, I'm fine."

We walked to his house and I stood outside for a second. "Okay but seriously, call me if you need to, I don't want you to do something stupid." He looked over his shoulder and smiled at me before attacked me with a hug. "Youre such a nerd, just go home."

He kissed me quickly and locked eyes with me. "Love you." He mumbled and I smiled. "Love you too." I hugged him softly and he pulled away. "Bye Langa." He waved and I walked home.

I called Miya and he picked up. "What'd you want?" He asked and I sighed. "Are you going to rekis?" He scoffed. "No, I'm at my friends." "Ya ya whatever, you're with Jay, I don't care." He interrupted me "hey! They're still a friend." "Miya I don't care, can you just be nice to reki today, someone called him a lady today and I just don't think he took it too well."

Miya paused and sighed. "Well he is." "Miya not now." I said and walked around my room. "I know you guys joke about that stuff but I really don't think he'd like it today, just say nice things and make an effort to make him feel comfortable."

"Yeah, I'll try." Miya said quietly and giggled away from the phone. "Alright have fun with your partner." I teased him and he made a soft noise. "Shut up, slime." He hung up and I laid in my room. I should be with Reki right now.

I twiddled my thumbs and bit the inside of my mouth. I let out a breath and then sat up, slipping my shoes on. I opened my window and glanced out before climbing out and walking to the sidewalk. I made my way to rekis house and snuck back to his window. I knocked on it and quickly moving to side, a smile forming on my face.

The window slid open and reki peered out. "What?" He said and looked straight at me. My smile disappeared and I looked at his eyes. "Hey, are you okay?" I asked and held the side of his face. He sniffled and wiped his eyes. "Yeah, I'm fine, I told you." He smiled softly and I froze, unsure what to do. He backed up and disappeared into his room. "Reki." I said and stumbled into his room, tripping on something on the floor.

"Hey, you're obviously not okay." I grabbed his arm. "Reki, would you listen to me?" He turned and touched my hair, pushing it behind my ear. "Would you be quiet? My mom is home." I swallowed and my breath caught in my throat. I wrapped my arms around him and pulled him close. "God Reki, you're so stubborn." I nuzzled my face into his neck and clutched his jacket in my hands.

"I'm so uncomfortable." He whispered in my ear and I could hear the pain in his voice. "I'm uncomfortable in school and in public and even in my own house. I'm uncomfortable in my body and it makes me feel like shit." He hugged me tightly and rubbed his back. "I think you are the prettiest boy I've ever meet. And he is the best boyfriend I've ever had and the only one ill ever have ."

I smiled and pulled away from the hug, poking his shoulder. He gave a weak smile and I picked his face up. "I love you." I said and he broke down. He cried softly and I pulled him close. I kissed the top of his head and rubbed his back lightly. I brought him over to the bed and I sat him down.

I got him a blanket and wrapped it around him before kissing his forehead. "You don't have to wear baggy clothes all the time, you're perfect Reki." I said and he looked at me with tears in his eyes. He laid down against his mountain of pillows and I turned his tv on before laying my head on his lap. I grabbed his hand and gently played with his fingers to try and distract him.

After awhile his sniffles stopped and he silently played with my hair. I glanced up at him and reached for his jacket collar. "C'mere." I pulled him down and kissed him all over. "Handsome boy." I muttered and he blushed, kissing me back. He smiled and held the sides of my face. "I love you." He whispered and I looked in his eyes. "I love you too." I reached out and tickled him while he was distracted. He squirmed and I tickled his armpits. He tensed up and I crawled ontop of them.

"Langa! Stop." He said through uncontrollable laughs and I leaned down, kissing his neck. "No~" I cooed and he laughed next to my ear. He clung onto my back and kicked his legs around. "Stop, stop." He gasped and I smiled at him as his hair fell in his face and his eyes lit up. I stopped and he laid still. "Dork." He punched my shoulder and I set my head against his chest.

I touched his sides and he tensed up a bit. He let out a breath and scratched my head lightly, while wrapping his legs around my body. I kept him close and he sniffled again. I looked up and chewed at the inside of my mouth. "Reki, Stop crying." He covered his face and laughed lightly. "I can't help it, you're so awesome." He laughed through his tears and I smushed my face into his stomach. "Shut up." I mumbled and he picked my face up.

" You make me feel comfortable." He said and his eyes got all watery. My chest tightened and I bit at my lip. I wiped my eyes and smiled weakly. "God Reki, I hate you so much." Tears fell down the sides of my face and I hid from him. He kissed my cheek and hugged me close. "Don't leave me okay?" I nodded and he laid me down, holding me amidst the pillows and blankets.
