I sat in class and stared at Langa. He was looking at his computer at something, I think. I don't really know, I was too busy watching him.  He glanced up and slowly looked over at me. I looked away and I saw him look away out of corner of my eye. Geez you idiot.

I packed up after the bell rang and I looked up to see Langa standing infront of my desk. I looked around and he kept his eyes on me. "Hi?" I said and he nodded shortly. It got quiet and he held his phone in his hand, tapping it with his finger. "Why do you keep staring at me?" He asked quickly and I froze for a moment. "What?" I asked and he looked at me with slightly wider eyes. "I keep catching you staring at me, it's kinda weird. Do you need something?" I shook my head and he looked to the side. "Alright, well I'm going now." He said and walked out. I stared at my desk for a moment and sighed softly.

I ate lunch by myself and I checked my phone as I ate, kicking my leg slowly under the table. I scrolled through it and took a bite of my sandwich. A shadow casted over me and I peeled my eyes off my phone to see Langa standing infront of me. I smiled and he kept a straight face as he sat down infront me, putting his bag on the bench. "Uh hey." I said and he pulled out his binder before working on something. What a strange man.

A few weeks later, I was sitting a lunch with Langa and he was quietly working on something, like always, never even saying a word to me. I looked at him and watched his hair slowly fall out from behind his ear. He looked up at me and my eyes fell on his for a moment before I looked down at my food. He didn't say anything but I saw the unamused look in his eyes. He went back to his work and my eyes lingered back over to him. I glanced down at his paper and put a bag of chips next to him. "Here, I don't want them." I said and he merely glanced at them before shaking his head. "I'm not hungry." He said and I watched him, "Mh, then save them for later, eat them when you get home." He shook his head again. "I don't like chips." I chuckled and he lifted his head up slowly. "What?" I giggled a little and he watched me, confused. "Well I just find it hard to believe, who doesn't like chips?" He shrugged and I smiled softly. "I just don't think you want to take my kind gifts." He stared at me and I saw the slightest of smiles appear on his face. "Youre ridiculous." He muttered.

A few days later I was walking through the hallway to lunch and saw Langa standing by his locker. I walked up to him and he was looking at something inside. I grabbed his shoulders and peeked at his hands. "What are you doing?" I shook him a little and he jumped when I touched him. He closed the notebook he had in his hands and I chuckled, letting go of him. I leaned against the lockers and smiled at him. "Wanna head to lunch?" I asked and he nodded softly. I reached in his locker and grabbed the notebook, flipping through it. He tried to grab it and I held it above my head. "Stop, reki, give it to me." He said and tried to reach for it. I held it behind my back and pressed against the lockers, biting back a laugh. He reached for it and I gasped. "Langa!" I said dramatically and he paused for a moment. "What are you trying to do? Don't you know not to just touch peoples butts?" I teased him and he stared at me, flushed. I giggled and held the notebook close to me as I started to walk. "Come on, let's go eat." I walked off and he followed me.

I got home later and read through the notebook. It was honestly not really anything, he was being dramatic for no reason. I shut it and laid on my back, staring at the ceiling with a smile.

A few weeks later I was sitting in class with Langa and lightly kicked his foot under the table. He glanced over at me and I stopped for a moment. Once he looked away I started doing it again. He kicked me back and I giggled a little, leaning closer to him. He looked at me and I held back my laugh, curling my foot around his ankle. "Stop it." He whispered and I smiled a little at him. "I'm not doing anything." I whispered back and his eyes darted around my face. I watched him carefully and he looked away, working on something. I tapped the top of his foot lightly and he pulled his foot away. "Stop I'm doing my work." He said and i mimicked him. "Stop I'm doing my work." I teased and he sighed softly. I left him alone for a moment and put my head on the desk, looking over at him. I smiled and took his book, reading the summary. He watched me and I turned to look in his eyes. "Youre so pretty, Langa." I whispered and he searched my eyes for a moment before looking back down at his paper. I set the book down and smiled to myself.

We sat at lunch and he slowly ate some weird looking crackers. I grabbed his hand from across the table and he jumped a bit at the touch. "I'm so bored." I complained and dramatically leaned on the table. "Mh, what do you want me to do about that?" He asked and I looked at him. "Hmmm, I think you should kiss me." I teased him and i could tel he got a little flustered. He looked his hand away from mine and coughed into his wrist. I smiled and giggled a little. "Hey Langa, can I have your number?" I asked and he shook his head. I frowned and took his paper away from him. "Why not?" I asked and he shrugged. "I don't want you to have it." I sighed dramatically and fell back on the table.

A few days later, Langa and I were sitting in class. I leaned on his side and read the chapter of my book for English class. A pressure appeared on my back and my eyes widened a little. I sat up slightly and looked over at Langa, his hand resting on my lower back. He took his hand away and returned it back to the keyboard of his computer. I smiled and leaned on his again, slowly placing on of my hands on his knee. He let me keep it there and we stayed like this til the end of class. The bell rang and I sat up, packing my things up. Langa followed and I stood up, grabbing my backpack. "See you tomorrow." I said and he glanced over his shoulder at me, smiling slightly. I smiled back and ruffled his hair up a bit. "Bye." He said the same back and I went home for the day.

About a week later, me and Langa were sitting at our lunch table and he was talking about something. I lightly tapped his shoe under the table and watched him. "Hey Langa." He paused and looked at me. "Can you go to the vending machine with me?" I asked and he paused for a moment before nodding. "Do you need something?" I nodded and got up, walking with him down the hall.

I put my hands in my jacket pockets and glanced to the side. "Do you need money?" He asked and I shook my head. "No it's fine, I've got a few dollars." We got to vending machine and I looked at it. "Do you want anything?" I asked and he shook his head. I clicked the buttons and got a Cherry Coke. I handed it to him and he stared at it. "I don't like soda." He said and I watched him. "Then I'll get you something else. "What do you want?" He shrugged and I smiled softly.

"Cmon, pick anything, there's another vending machine down the hall with snacks." He shrugged again and I put my hands on his shoulders. "I'm gonna get you something, I Atleast want you to like it." He looked at me and I reached out, fixing his hair behind his ears. "Cmon, just name one thing you like." He chewed at his lips and I smiled softly to encourage him.

"I li-" his words sort of shook. "I really like- um...cookies. I like cookies. My mom makes them a lot." I smiled wider and patted his cheek lightly. "Mk, let's go get a cookie."

We walked down the hall to the other vending machine and I put in a dollar before handing him a package. We walked slowly back to lunch and I glanced over at him. I reached over and grabbed the coke form his hand. I moved it to other hand and slowly put my hand on his. His fingers shook a little and I stared at the ground as I put my hand against his, my fingers curling a bit. I looked over at him and squinted a bit as the sun hit my eyes. I looked around his face and stopped walking. He looked back at me and I chewed at my lip.

"I think i should just tell you at this point." I chuckled softly and took my hand out of his. "Remember like months ago, when you caught me staring at you?" He smiled a bit and nodded. I groaned and covered my face. "Oh god, I've liked you since you came to this school, like I honestly thought you were the cutest person and- and man was I right. And you funny too- like you've got a great personality and I just- god- I really like you, man."

He stared at me and for the first time I saw him blush. It was a deep, red blush, covering his cheeks and his nose and I might have even blushed a little myself. "No one's ever confessed to me before." He whispered and I stared at him. "Oh you've gotta be kidding me, there's no way." He nodded and cracked a small smile. I chuckled and grabbed his wrists. "Mh well I'm glad I was the first." I said quietly and he shrugged a bit, nodding along. We got quiet and I leaned a little closer.

"Can I maybe kiss you?" I asked and that deep blush got even deeper. "Uh-uh maybe not right now- I've just never.." I smiled. "Neither have I." I finally saw that almost protective layer on him fall apart and he seemed very comfortable. "Um then can I maybe have your number?" I asked and he nodded quickly.

I smiled for the umpteenth time in the last five minutes and he typed his number into my phone. As he handed it back, the bell rang and I looked in his eyes. "Um- I should go back to class." He said and I nodded, following him to the stairwell. I paused and froze up a little. I leaned in and hugged him quickly. "Maybe call me tonight?" I asked and he nodded before going to his next class.
