Skate the Infinity one shots

High school

I skated to the marina and saw Kaoru and Ainosuke leaning against the railing. I picked my board up and snuck up behind Kaoru. I wrapped my arms around his waist and picked him up. "Kojiro! Put me down!"

He swatted me and his long hair hit my face. "I missed you Kaoru~" I blew little kisses and he smacked me on the top of my head. "You're such a pain." He relaxed in my arms and I set him down, glancing at Ainosuke.

He picked his phone up and walked away, talking to someone. I hugged Kaoru from behind and for a split second he leaned into the hug. He took a step forward and my arms fell off of him.

"You're still hung up on him... c'mon Kaoru, he's no good for you." He turned and looked at me. "Even when i'm completely over him, I'll never resort to you." I chuckled and flashed a quick smile. "Never. Are you sure about that?" He was caught mid nod when Ainosuke ran over. "I gotta go, ill see you tomorrow."

He skated off and Kaoru looked his way, even after he was gone. I felt goosebumps on my arm and looked over at the water, rubbing my nose self-consciously. I saw my reflection in the water and heard his board scrape against the ground. "I should get home too." Kaoru mumbled and I looked over my shoulder at him. "Kaoru." I said and he turned around. I walked up to him and pushed the hair out of his face.

He glared at me and I gave a sympathetic smile. "Don't do something you'll regret." He threatened and I opened my mouth for second before shutting it tight. "God, you'll never let me down if I do that, will you?" He stared at me "Do what?" I set my hand on the side of his face and slowly leaned forward. A hand was pressed against my forehead and he looked at me, completely bewildered.

"You're not actually going to kiss me, right?" I searched his eyes and backed away. "Yeah, I was just messing with you." I laughed softly and cleared my throat, pushing down the emotions welling in my throat. I grabbed my board and gave him a soft nod as I walked past him. I walked home, clutching my board tight in my hand, when I heard footsteps running towards me.

I turned and Kaoru was running after me. "You stupid, gorilla." He grabbed my arm and stared at me. "I can't you made me run after you." He breathed out and I looked in his eyes. "Hey, I didn't make you do anything." Kaoru held back a little remark and just left a soft slap on my cheek. "You suck at hiding your feelings." He mumbled and it fell silent.

The light post above us flickered and I glanced to the side. "Is that all you wanted to say?" Kaoru looked like he was thinking and then nodded. I started to the side and he grabbed my face, by my jaw.

He pulled me back and my eyes went wide. He stammered and then kissed my cheek. "Bye." He said and ran off, throwing his skateboard on the ground. He disappeared around the corner and I touched my cheek, a smile forming on my face.
