I watched Langa at graduation and played with my hands, worried I'd never see him after this day. After the ceremony I met up with Langa and hugged him tighter than ever before. "Reki, why are acting like this?" He laughed softly and my heart ached. "Can I tell you something?" I asked and he nodded. I pulled back and put my hands behind my back.

"Okay, but you can't get mad at me, this took a lot for me to say." He nodded me along and my chest grew tight. I choked back the words for a second, thinking about bailing and asking for dinner or something but I threw on a small smiled instead. "Uh so, I kind of like you. Like more than friends." He stopped and stared at me. "Oh." I laughed softly and scratched the back of my head.

"It's alright, I'm basically over it, don't feel bad if you don't feel the same way." He glanced to the side. "Uh, yeah, I don't feel the same." I nodded and forgot how to function for a second. "No, no, it's okay, um I'll see tomorrow?" He nodded and kept looking around. "Reki, actually, I wanted you to meet someone." I stayed still and my eyes burned.

Fuck. Don't cry, don't cry.

I had a huge lump in my throat and he disappeared for a second. He came back with a girl following him and smiled. "Uh, reki. This is my girlfriend, Mei." I looked at her and my eyes started to water. She's so beautiful. Yeah, no wonder Langa likes her.

I wiped my eyes and Langa looked at me. "Hey, are you alright?" I nodded and covered my eyes for a second. "Yeah, I'm just gonna miss school." I lied and he laughed softly. "Dude, you always want to leave here." I nodded and laughed along, weakly. "Yeah, its pretty ironic." He patted my back and I hugged him again, clutching his gown in my fists.

I broke down in his arms and he sat there, very still. "Hey, I have to go, my grandmas calling me." Mei said and I glanced up. She leaned in to kiss him and Langa tensed up beside me, avoiding the kiss. "Bye." She said quietly and rushed off. I looked at him for a second and he tighten his grip on me, seeming a little zoned out.

"Why didn't you tell me?" I said and pulled away from him, wiping my face down. "Oh, um, I don't know. I guess I just thought you'd be upset that I wouldn't be spending time with you or something." He hunched over a little and I smiled at him. "I'm sorry, for before, if I made you uncomfortable or anything." He shook his head. "It's alright man, but I should go. My mom wanted me home."

I nodded and waved to him before turning and walked numbly over to my family. I put my hands in my pocket and my mom walked up to me, rubbing my upper back. "Are you alright, sweetie?" I smiled and nodded. "Yeah, I'm great." I lied and glanced over my shoulder, completely unknown to me that that was the last time I'd see Langa.

Well, until today.

I raced out of my apartment, so so late for work. I messily pulled my jacket over my shoulder and practically ran down the street. I got a phone call from my office and answered it as I crossed the street. "Yeah yeah, I'll be there soon, sorry." I said and turned the corner. I bumped into someone and quickly apologized. My bag fell off my arm and everything spilled out. The shorter guy that I bumped into quickly walked away and I scoffed at him, getting marks all over my work papers.

I finally got to my office and clocked in, sitting at the desk. I may have gotten here but I'm covered in sweat, my hair is damp and messy and my clothes might as well have been picked out by a blind man. Sero walked up to my desk and half smirked. "Hey, I've got a new guy waiting downstairs, want to show him around." I stared at him and he looked at me. "Ya know what? Nevermind, I'll ask Haru." He walked down the hall and I put my head down, rubbing my eyes.

A few minutes went by and I started working, slowly but surely. "Oh and this desk over here is reki kyan, he's our financial-" "Reki?" I looked up and saw Langa standing there. My eyes widened and I completely froze. "Hey- hey, how long have is been? Like five years. Wow. Man, I missed you." He smiled and I looked around at him, his hair was pulled back in a low ponytail and a little stubble hung out.
