I held langas hand at s and I saw his name pop up on the board. He squeezed my hand before looking at me. "Don't die!" I joked and sent him off to the starting line. I walked with Miya to the finished line and found a good spot to settle down.

I pulled out my phone and scrolled through, waiting for him to finish. "Why aren't you watching Langa? What if he gets hurt and you miss it?" I shook my head at Miya. "Langas fine, I don't need to watch him, I just need to see him at the end, that's the most important part."

Miya shook his head and walked over to Jay. "When did they let him in?" I asked Joe but cherry butted in. "Them, they go by they/them. Respect that." He said matter of factly and I nodded before looking at Joe. "It doesn't matter,  they seem happy together." I watched them closely.

This is one of the very few times I've seen Miya smile like that. Miya walked back over, holding jays hand and I turned back to the track. They got near the end and I pushed off the fence. Langa rolled through quickly and I ran over to him.

I toppled ontop of him and hugged him tightly. "Langa! You won!" I cheered and he hugged me back, rocking me side to side. "Bro I want to kiss you so bad!" I exclaimed and he moved closer to me. "Then kiss me, we're dating reki." I laughed out of pure joy and kissed him quickly.

He held the back of my head and I heard everyone walking away. I looked in his eyes and kissed him again. "Alright lovebirds, nobody wants to see you make out. Get up." Joe said and I sat up, letting go of Langa. I followed all of them out and looked back at Langa who was running to catch up to us.

I grabbed his hand and put my arm around jay. "Youre a pretty cool, little guy." I ruffled their hair and Miya eyed me. "Don't call them that." I smiled and looked at jay. "Oh come on! I didn't mean it like that!"
