Progress

I sat in my room with Jay and grabbed my controller. "Let's play Mario kart." I offered and they found the extra controller, leaning against the edge of the beanbag. I sat down on the beanbag and they leaned against my leg, turning on the tv. "I'm gonna beat you." They cooed and looked back at me.

I glanced down and pushed their face down. "I doubt that." They laughed softly and their voice got all raspy. I hooked my arm around their neck and kissed their forehead. They smiled at me and moved their hand to the side of my face. "Would you stop being so cute?" I smiled against their skin and they scooted onto the beanbag, kissing my cheek repeatedly.

"Jay...Jay." I scrunched up and they relaxed against me, their arm wrapping around the back of my neck. I started to game and they rested against me, while I pulled into 1st. I stuck my tongue out at little, focused on the game and jays screen paused. They kissed my neck slowly and I heated up. "Haa...Jay." He nudged them away and they held the sides of my face, pushing me down on the my back.

They crawled ontop of me and my eyes widened. I forgot how to breathe and they pulled back, looking in my eyes. "Miya, you're not in first anymore." They breathed out and smiled, wiping their mouth. I blushed my crazy and my hands fell to my sides. "That's so not fair." I mumbled and they sat up, grabbing their controller.

I stared at them and sat up slowly, hugging them loosely. "What're you doing?" They looked over and their nose brushed through my hair. I grabbed their hand and pulled the controller out. "You can't just kiss me to get ahead, that's cheating." I whispered and moved closer to them.

They glanced between my eyes and lips and smiled softly. "Miya~" they whispered and I looked up from their lips. "Yeah?" I placed my hand on their cheek. "You're losing." They cooed and I shook my head lightly. "I don't- I don't care." I kissed them slowly and they smiled against my mouth, holding me close. I rubbed their back and they laughed softly, our noses bumping.

"Miya, you're acting like me." I kissed them over and over and my door opened. I Pulled back slowly and wiped my mouth, seeing Reki in the doorway. "What?" I asked with a slight edge and he smiled nervously, sweat dripping down his face and messy clothes. "Wanna skate with me and langa?" I leaned over and set my hand on jays leg to balance myself.

"I'm busy." I said and reki rolled his eyes. "Getting a partner changed you. Be more like me and Langa, we still hang out with people." He said sarcastically and I pushed off of Jay, walking over to Reki. "Get out, I'm trying to make progress in our relationship." I said through gritted teeth and reki flinched my forehead.

"Gross." He fake gagged and I shut my door behind us. I Smacked the top of his head. "Go make out with Langa or something, just get out of my house. Who even let you in?" He laughed softly and rubbed his head. "Your mom." He stuck his tongue out and I glared at him.

"Leave, perv." I mumbled and opened my door. "Miya, tell Jay to call me about that skateboard." I slammed my door and Jay looked up at me. "Is everything alright?" I nodded and walked over to them, picking up my controller. They touched my chin lightly and turned my head. "Are we just going to forget why we were doing before?"

I turned to them and chewed at the inside of my mouth. "Reki told you to call him about the board." I said and they glared at me. "Miya, I thought we were going somewhere." I paused and caught my breath in my throat, staring at their light freckles. "I- yeah. I mean I think we were but i kind of ruined the moment." I said and my gaze drifted between their eyes and lips.

They smiled and laughed softly. "Youre so clueless." They rested their head on my shoulder and rubbed my arm. "I don't care about that stuff, sometimes I just want to kiss you, I don't need a reason, it's just such an overwhelming need." I looked over at them and played with their hair. "I suck at this." I mumbled and rested my forehead on their head. "I'm the worst boyfriend ever."

They smiled and nudged my head softly. They poked their head up and looked in my eyes, keeping me close. "Youre the best boyfriend ever." They smiled and kissed me quickly. "I love you." I blushed and they played with my hair. "Was that too early? Sorry, I should've ask you first." They said softly and I shook my head, smiling to myself. "No- no, it was nice." My voice cracked and I rubbed under my nose, beyond embarrassed.

They held the side of my face and kissed my cheek. "You don't have to say it back, I just thought it would cheer you up." I looked at them and nodded softly. "You do?" I asked and they smiled. "Yeah, I love you." I relaxed in their arms and held their hand. "I love you loads, Miya, I always have." I smiled and they kissed my cheek again.

"Now cheer up, so you can have a chance at beating me." My mouth gaped open and I shook my head. "Youre unbelievable, you never beat me so where's this confidence coming from? Huh?" They giggled and reached over, grabbing their controller. "Glad to see you back Miya."
