I sat in the back of the class and the teacher told us to move to our partners. Kaoru walked over to me and leaned on my desk. "Would you be my partner?" He smiled softly and I chuckled. "Sure." A girl stopped next to us and froze.

"Are you two working together? I kind of wanted to partner up with you." She pointed towards me and i herd Kaoru pull a chair up to my desk. "Yeah, we're working together." Kaoru said before I could say anything and I looked back at him. "Jealous much?" He smiled shyly, barely even at all and I smiled back at him.

"Youre being so weird today." I chewed at my lip and he looked at me. "Yeah?" The teacher started talking and told us about our project. Kaoru doodled on his paper and I leaned over, blocking him with the teacher. "Kiss?" I said under my breath and he looked up at me. "In what ungodly universe would I kiss you?" He whispered back and I glanced at his mouth.

"This one?" I questioned and he glared at me. "Yeah, maybe if we're the last two people on earth." I perked up and raised my eyebrows. "I can make that happen." I said in a quiet voice and he laughed quietly. "You are too horny for your own good." The teacher stopped talking and let us start working. I sighed and looked in his eyes.

We looked at each other a moment longer than I thought he would let before I sat back and cleared my throat. "Whatever. I'll just date someone else if you're going to be like that." He laughed softly and wiped his eyes. "That's funny, who would want you?" I looked around the room and chewed on the inside of my mouth.

"Tons of girls, actually. I have people come up to me almost everyday and I turn them down for you." I turned to him and tapped my pencil on the table. "And I'm kind of starting to regret that." He froze and stared at me. "Really? You want me that bad?" I shrugged and looked away. "Well it sounds bad when you say it like that." I held my face and wrote our names at the top of the paper. "Come on, let's just do the project." He hummed in response and we wrote down our ideas.

Something touched my hand in my lap and Kaoru glanced at me, curling his pinky around mine. I looked down at our hands and he blushed a little. "I don't like those girls." He mumbled and wrote down stuff quickly on his paper. I dropped my pencil and it rolled off the table. I ducked down to get it and pulled Kaoru down with me. "What the hell are you doing? You idiot." He smacked my arm and I held his face, kissing him quickly.

I smiled at him and grabbed my pencil. "Thanks, I couldn't reach it." I said and popped back up. He punched me in the stomach and I gasped for air. "The hell was that for?" "You stole my first kiss." He said through his teeth and glared at me. "You stupid gorilla, I was saving that." "For who? Your non existent boyfriend?" I said without thinking and then threw my hands over my mouth.

He glared at me and blew out a breath. "You are so lucky we're in class right now." I quietly did my work and occasionally glanced at him, a little scared. "And just when I was starting to like you." He pushed my face to the side and I cracked a soft smile. "You like me?" I asked and he glared at me. "I should've stayed with ainosuke." He said under this breath and I chewed at my lip.

"That douche bag? God I'm glad you guys broke up." He watched me and tilted his head. "You were friends with him too?" I shrugged and scribbled on my paper. "Only because you hung out with him so much, I don't really like him." Kaoru got quiet and the bell rang. I grabbed my things and he followed me out of the classroom. "Why don't you go hit on some girls? I'll call someone to take me home."

I looked over at him and held my folder in my hands. "Aww I'm not letting you go that easy." I put my arm around his shoulders and he leaned against me slightly as we walked to the parking lot. I unlocked the car and opened the door for him. "Only the finest for our special guest." I joked and he pushed his hair out of his face. "Just take me home." He shut the door himself and I got in my seat.

"Geez Youre snippy today, you told me to go flirt with a girl. And while you're not exactly a girl, what does it matter?" I lifted his face and smiled at him. "Are you saying I look feminine?" He said softly and I scanned his eyes, trying to see if it's a joke or not. "No-" "wow you really suck at this whole winning me over thing." He pushed my hand down and looked down at his phone.

"Take me home, I have to go to dinner with my parents." He waved me off and completely dismissed me. "Hey, I'll be honest, I normally bring girls to my car and make out with them, don't you want me to treat you the same?" He shook his head and glanced at me. "If you're going to just kiss me out of nowhere there should be reason behind it, and if you want to continue kissing me then you should grow a pair and ask me out." He mumbled and I sighed, starting the car.

"Youre a handful, maybe it'd just be easier to hit on a girl." That earned a small laugh out of him and I looked over at him. "Hey Kaoru." I cleared my throat and leaned on the steering wheel. "What?" He turned his phone off and looked at me. "Will you go on a date with me?" I asked and he bit his thumb nail. "Sure." He muttered and I smiled softly.

"That's it, huh? That's all I had to say this whole time and you would've accepted?" He nodded and leaned over, kissing my cheek. "You're not very smart Kojiro, I'm a very easy person." I stared at him and scoffed. "Easy, my ass. You're so all over the place. One second you let me hold your hand and the next your yelling at me for breathing the wrong way. Honestly I don't understand-" he kissed me and I melted almost immediately.

He held my face and I made embarrassing little whimpers. Someone knocked at my window and Kaoru pulled away, wiping his mouth. A girl with thin, straight brown hair was standing at my window and I rolled it down. "Yeah?" I asked and she glanced inside. "Well you told me to come by today to uh...talk...after school." She smiled and I found Kaorus hand, holding it on the armrest.

"Yeah, well I don't think we need to meet up anymore, or any girl actually." "Oh. Why? Did you finally get a girlfriend?" She peered in the car and I shook my head. "Boyfriend." I pointed at Kaoru and he waved cautiously. "Oh, well. Good luck!" She smiled and waved as she walked away. "She's a sweet girl." Kaoru said under his breath and I smiled at him.

"You let me call you my boyfriend." I said all giddy and he rolled his eyes. "Well if we're not that then what are we?" He questioned me sarcastically and I let go of his hand. "I have a boyfriend." I smiled from ear to ear and he smacked the side of my face. "Take me home." He urged and I put my hands up. "Fine fine."

I drove him home and grabbed his hand before he could leave. "Don't toy with me Kaoru, I'm serious about...us, you. I don't know but I really like you so don't push me aside." He looked at our hands and then looked in my eyes. "Don't think so lowly of me." He patted my hand and leaned forward, pressing his face to my neck. "Good night Kojiro." He whispered and I squeezed his hand.

He placed a shy kiss on my cheek and then grabbed his things. He walked to the front door and I bit my nail nervously. He waved shyly and disappeared inside. I smiled slowly and leaned against the steering wheel, my face still warm from his kiss. I chewed at my lip and went home, the happiest I've been in awhile.
