One bed

I followed Jay and their family into the hotel. They let me and Jay share a room, unbeknownst to our relationship and I followed them up. We raced to the room and I opened the door. We both looked in and I think we both the same realization at the same time.

Why is there only one bed?

I looked over at them and they gave a awkward smile. "We should call the front desk, maybe they can explain." I nodded and left them to call while I brought our bags in.

They set the phone down and turned to me. "It's the only room left, well besides my parents. All the others with two beds are taken." I nodded and set their bag infront of them. "Well, let's make the best out of it, it's not like we're not already dating, it doesn't matter that much, does it?"

Jay shook their head and smiled. "You're cute Miya." They said and then walked off towards the bathroom. My heart fluttered and I collapsed on the bed.

I put some pajamas on and laid in bed, waiting for Jay to come sit down. They walked over and seemed a little uncomfortable. "I'll put a pillow between us." They said and I nodded, turning the other way. My face warmed when the weight shifted on the bed. I sat up against my pillows and looked at them, my toes wiggled under the blanket.

"I think you're really pretty Jay." I said and they looked up from their phone. "Youre sweet." They smiled and had a light blush on their cheeks. "Do you want to hold hands?"

I heard a slight rasp in their voice and I got excited. "Please." I smiled and they put their hand in mine, our finger settling comfortably in the others hand. I laid down and watched the tv, both of us scooting closer and closer together.

They set their head on my shoulder and I held my breath. "Hey Miya." They whispered and glanced up at me. "Hm?" I hummed in response. They touched the side of my face and quickly kissed me. My whole face flushed red and I stared at them. They laughed softly and kissed me again. "Youre so cute." They mumbled and looked up from my lips.

I took a slow breath and they let go of my hand, moving closer. "Am I making you uncomfortable?" They asked and I slowly shook my head. They smiled and leaned against my chest. "I'm tired." Their voice cracked and I laughed into my hand.

They slapped me lightly sat off of me, curling under the blanket. "It was cute, Cmon." I laid down beside jay and turned to them. They turned to me and I looked in their eyes. "Good night Miya." They smiled and held my hand under the pillow as we both feel asleep.
