(Continuation of the last part)

I sat in the quiet apartment and stared at the ceiling. My phone rang and walked into the kitchen to pick it up. "Hey Kaoru! I just landed." Kojiro said and I hummed in response. "Are you alright? This house is still standing right?" He chuckled and I smiled a little. "Yeah everything's fine." I opened the fridge and looked around. "Have you eaten yet? It's been a few hours since I left." I grabbed a water. "Uh no, I'll eat something soon." I mumbled and laid back down on the couch.

He talked about his flight and I closed my eyes, cuddling up to my blanket. "Mk, I'm gonna go." I finally said and he stammered a bit. "Oh uh okay, heat up that lasagna I made for dinner, if you put it in the oven now it'll be ready in about an hour." I hummed softly and said a soft bye before hanging up.

He called me non stop for the next three days and I would talk to him for a few minutes before hanging up. This time, it was pretty late at night and I was laying in bed when he called. He told me about his day and showed me some of the pictures he took. "Are you even doing any work like you're supposed to be? All you do is call me and wander around it seems." He chuckled and looked at me through the phone. "Yeah I do tons of work, but that not as much fun as the things I'm showing you. I don't want to bore you." I smiled and set the phone next to my head.

I closed my eyes and listened to him ramble on about his day. "Man, I really miss you Kaoru." He said after a long pause and I smiled to myself. "I should've waited til I got back to kiss you, now all I can think about is that." I hummed softly and scratched the back of my hand. "Kaoru?" He asked and I gave a soft sound in response. He sighed, sounding relieved and I picked my phone up for a moment. "I thought you fell asleep on me, I guess it is pretty late over there, I don't want to keep you." I shook my head and looked at him.

"It's fine. I don't work tomorrow." I mumbled sleepily and he smiled at me. "You look absolutely exhausted." I laughed softly and checked something on my phone real quick and then went back to the FaceTime screen. "I'll let you go to bed, make sure you eat something filling in the morning, you look pale." I nodded and yawned into the back of my hand.

"Youre big dopey ass is the one keeping me up so late ever night, I wouldn't look like shit if it weren't for you." I shot back and he laughed. "Alright, but like seriously, get some sleep. I'll be home soon." I nodded and hovered over the leave button. "Love you, sleep well." I dozed off a little and mumbled something to him. "Shut up idiot." Before hanging up.

I woke up the next day and it was nearly noon. I walked into the kitchen and stared at the kitchen before realizing that food just wasn't going to work for me today. I shut it with a bottle of water in my hand and curled up on the couch, in a thick blanket. I stared at the tv and checked my phone. For the first time in a week I had pure silence and it was so peaceful. Even thought I just woke up my body tried to kill me back into sleep and before I knew it I was asleep.

I woke up to the jingling of keys at the door and quickly sat up, rubbing the tired look off my face. I yawned and took the blanket off of me before picking up my phone. The door finally opened and Kojiro let out a relieved and tired sigh as he walked through the doorway. He dropped his bags and walked over me, collapsing on me, enveloping me in a hug. "Get off of me, you weigh a million pound you fatty." I pushed him off and he sat up.

I sighed and looked at him, slouching a little. "How was your flight?" I mumbled and he let out a breath. "Fine. I'm just glad I'm back." I nodded softly and curled my legs up on the couch, looking at him. "Your roots are growing out." I said and he put his hands over his head. "I know and I look like absolute shit. I'll fix them tonight." I chuckled and looked at him with a slight smile. "Yeah, you always look like shit." I commented and he glanced away. I moved quickly while he wasn't looking and wrapped my arms around his waist.

He froze a bit and I think I caught him off guard. "I want to go with you next time." He chuckled and out a hand on my back. "Next time I'm going to Italy, we're moving there and getting married." I glared at him and he smiled softly. "What?" I shook my head and took my arms off of him. "You must have me mistaken for someone else, because there's no way in hell that I'm marrying you, on top of leaving my career and everything I know to run off with some dope."

Kojiro laughed at me and I tried my hardest not to smile, but failed miserably. He sighed and looked at me. "You look thin, let me get you something to eat." I didn't argue with him, I simply followed him to the kitchen and sat at the counter, laying my head down. He started cooking and I closed my eyes, listening to the noises. I heard him walk away and he appeared behind me. He rubbed my arms and hugged me loosely before kissing right behind my ear. "Gosh I missed you." I blushed and his my face in the crook of my arm. He rested his head on my shoulder and I slowly lifted my head. "Get off of me and make me food." I said trying to distract him and he smiled at me before leaning over and placing a kiss at the corner of my mouth.

I gave him a funny look and he smiled softly. "Just one?" He asked and I looked in his eyes for a moment. "I don't know if you deserve one." I said back and smiled shyly. "Please, I'll literally do anything." I stared at him and paused for a moment before kissing his lips quickly. "I'm forever in your debt." He joked and I looked at him with sleepy eyes. "Just kiss me a kiss and consider it payed off."

He obliged without another comment and kissed me for a long moment, our lips perfectly slotting together, like they were made for the other. I smiled and pecked his lips before pulling away. "You can be my boyfriend but never anything more than that." I said and he happily nodded before cooking me lunch.

Okay, okay, just a little authors note, I strongly believe that Joe shows his love through acts of service and physical touch were Cherry enjoys just spending time with him, not even talking just like sitting in complete silence. Anyways, that's it. Um. Yeah. Thanks for reading, my lovely's 😘😍
